42 or 46" flat screen needed...

Now a full array LED set uses lots of LED's behind the LCD screen for light. Thus those sets allow each LED to change brightness with the picture - which will give better black levels.

Is this set a full array LED? Looking to buy a new TV between 46 and 50 inches....

Read up on a lot of the threads, but only saw a little bit on LED (stay away from Samsung LED's since they aren't true LED's).

Sorry, didn't add the link...here is the link:

Seems like a reasonable price for a 47 inch....

That IS full array and a nice set.
However, that model is still current - the price they are selling it for is SO far below cost - red flags are waving in my mind. You don't get something for nothing. Actual dealer cost on that model (from a HUGE buying group - lowers the cost as low as they will sell it) is around 1600 - 1700 dollars. It is sold for about $1899. The set is near end of life and LG IS trying to rid themselves of "b" goods which are sold real cheap. It will look new, be "factory fresh" and hard for you to tell from a non - refurbished unit.

Just be careful of internet "deals" - I see folks get burned at least once a week - seriously!!!

My little brother just got a new tv. He and his wife went to the Ikeia (sp?) store in Tampa. They couldn't decide which tv table to get, so they brought home the brocures. My little sister said that store is huge, and it even has a restaurant in it.

Cheap stuff that will only last a year or two then they will be looking again.

Best Buy's private label - the junk of junk!

Mine looks great.........high def w/ Harmony remote.......I bought a 60 LG 3 years ago for 2500 and everybody said the same thing.....still works perfect. Best Buy has the best warranties also.
