Found this photo. It's one of the original 32's. From what I have read there were 3 32' Beep Beeps. Most of the Other photos out there are the 38's.

Hello jrlake, congrats on the new purchase. You have a very rare and historical boat, one that led to many others and a very worthy rough water offshore boat. I don't know who originally designed the 32 Cary but the 32 Cary became the 32 Cobra. Dan Weinstein (Former owner of Powerplay marine) raced the 32 Cobra back in the day and started his on boat company and then started Powerplay Marine. The 32 Cobra became the 33 Powerplay with a redesigned deck. You can see the hull simularities on the top splash rail just below the rub rail. The Cary, Cobra and the Powerplay top splash rail, all follow the hull's rub rail and curve down to the top of the bow eye. This was later changed when Dan added more freeboard to the 33 Powerplay that added about 4" to the bottom hull I believe. Top Bananna would more likely know more about this than I as to the Cary, Cobra, Powerplay history.

This definitely is one of the 32' Cary "Beep Beep"which ran in 1974 with Wayne Vicker.
It 'was purchased a few months ago and is under restoration in Italy.
The new owner told me that he will keep the original livery and will change only the engines and transmissions.
As we can see has remained intact from the picture of 1974.

Were there 3 32' Beep Beep's as far as you know? It is a tough thing to track down.

Thanks guys... Our boat is definitely one of the 32' Cary "Beep Beep" sister boats. In fact when I saw this picture of the one up on blocks I would have bet that was the same boat because it too has the NY registration numbers on it. But ours is a different state registration number. Wonder if they were the same recent owner? As you said, tough to track down.

Got it cleaned up, ice blasted the motor compartment and transom holes being filled now. Located some #3 Speedmasters, gimbals and motor plates. A month ago, I knew nothing about staggered motor setups. Now I know about 50% of what I need to. Tail stocks/ drive line configuration is my challenge now but I've got a general idea how to proceed. If anyone has some pictures I could take a look at for the driveline setup it might save me a bit of trial and error.

Also, any race pix, or maybe some rare interior pictures would help with the restoration. I'm in the printing business... so a duplication wrap of the decals is the easiest part of this job.

My father owned the first Beep Beep. I can't quite remember for sure, but I believe he bought it in 1974 after it won the race. He sold it around 1992 or so in Italy. Here's a picture of it.


I keep wondering what happened to this legendary boat. I'm the boy in the picture.

By the way, I have a ton of pictures and videos of Beep Beep, the one with 89 painted on it since my dad owned it.
