28 Cigarette SS project boat LUCKY STRIKE's old 28

Tony, are you restoring a matching Eldo convertible? How cool would that look on A1A buzzing over 7 Mile?

I just may, Ive been keeping my eyes peeled for the perfect set of bull horns to go on the hood.

It already made it higher than it was worth on ebay. I would have probably paid a grand for it and that would have been too much in all honesty.

This one is in ft.myers and in pretty darn good shape for it's year.

The boat in the 3rd pic of post 45 is not the same boat that is in the pic in post 43.

The 28 has an extruded lip at the top of the hull where the hull and deck meet, as shown in post 43 its also black in color in that post.

It's meant to show the hatch of the 28' , the transom pic is daddy cool, a 35' cig race boat that is for sale cheap and in great shape. If you put those giant tabs on a 28' it probably would sink.......good eye....

Everything is there and new , cables hydraulic lines etc. etc. The patterson headers were sent to some welding wizzard who totally refurbished them and the 3's are newly gone thru too. No engines but he has power there and could give you a complete boat for extra money. The hull is in really good shape and remember before they owned it, it was gone thru with no expense by birdman, the skater guy. If it were 5 years ago it would of sold in a couple of weeks for a lot more money. I know they paid way more than their asking.

Good question Bill..They only made 11 of them. Mine originally had 6 cyl Mercs.
When I bought it from a friend he had put 440 Olds engines in it.
I sold it to a guy in Conn. in 1976.

Well I guess that at least 2 of the 11 were red/white with 6 cyl Mercs:):)
