28 Active Thunder vs 28 Pantera vs ???

Love the over the transom look. I'm not a big swimstep guy. I actually took the one off my current 28, sold it and filled the holes.

Im with you on the look, and in running in the ocean the last thing I used the swimstep for was a pad for my Honda generator so I could run the AC all night.

However....I go to Havasu, the river , Mead and Powell.
When I'm out there I and whoever is with me just have to get into the water especially when its like 110 degrees.

Without some kind of step/ladder deal its just a real pain in the Azz.

but- that's me and my crowds deal- certainly not everyone's.

Uncle Dave

From my experience a better choice, but I'm curious as to the group view.

Is the AT's windscreen molded or bolted?

UD

They have a lexan screen bolted at the top of the fairing. this is my old one. Can't see it real good but its about 3"s tall and clear.

No "Stabin" Cabin?

I suppose you could navigate the "skin boat to tuna town" from the backseat, but then everybody would get to see.

Might intimidate a potential 4 way.....

Adam, seeing as the "back seat" question was brought up...

What is under that hatch aft of your helm area?
Everytime I see pics of your boat, my only thoughts are "what a badazz boat", and "purpose built".
What a great looking boat.
But my wife would hate it - unless I was really hanging it out in a good 3-5':)

I am pretty sure by F-1 rules, the hull has to be molded as a factory boat(same one they build for everyone), honestly I dont know if the 28's seeat base is molded into the hull as it is in a 24, but if it is, then he has the glass under there.

Nah, I don't expect it to be a seat base.
Just curious what's under there??
Think of the question in the same way as the "guess her muff" thread:)

Yeah, that race Pantera looks like an absolute Blast! I'd love to drive it.
(Ill be in Toronto this summer..........hint.....)

I've seen this rig before and always thought it was a really neat rig.
Nothing like a dedicated vehicle in any discipline for a good time.

Ill bet that thing is hotter than a half f#cked fox in a forest fire out in Arizona though.

By the Way AR- Nice garage dude.

Kevin Coopers boat is over at the Lavey shop and I been thinking about maybe picking it up. Another dedicated piece, its about as versatile as titz on a boar, but its pretty neat.

Shouldnt everybody have three boats?

UD

I was up to three at one time.
Actually a headache I don't miss.
But, I had three boats that all ran.
Now I have one boat, and it has been dismantled since the day I brought it home.
Reminds me of a Homer Simpson quote "I have three kids and no money. Why can't I have NO kids and THREE money"?:)
But, If I finally get some things taken care of, and get this one put back together... I'll be shopping for another to add to the stable.

Hey Dave, buy Coopers boat! Then come play with us racing this year.

I bet I know what's "in the back seat" but I don't want to turn this into a scat joke session! Seiously though I'd guess its like mine, no cockpit liner, just a floor glassed to the hull sides.

Dave my 28 is up in Van Nuys right now. You're welcome to check it out.

Give me a call, I want to talk to you about that race Lavey. Pm me or email if you need my number.

nothing under the hatch just a floor.
I like the canopy boat....

purpose built is what it is......nothing more and definately nothing less!

if I wanna cruise with a bunch of broads I can use this....
