27' Cigarette ?

Looks like an Alpha cut out in the basement.

Some time around '85 I worked where a few were sold. I recall it was built by Imperial at that time. I don't find it anything to get excited about.

Looked to me like a squadron 27 too thought it might be a real cig but good thing I posted here. I would have found out when i checked the hin but burned a lot of gas and time too. Thanks KZ

If it really was a cig it would not be stripped, in need of new gelcoat or left for dead.

Boats get stripped like that for a reason.

I gotta tell ya you never know what your gonna find and if you snooze u loose. I scan the classifieds daily and have picked up many deals over the years. I have a free chris craft scorpion thats my daily driver boat. a free Sutphen 2 months ago delivered and Picked up my Formula 272 for 1/2 nothing. Alot of people just want their boats gone. mostly storage issues. I knew it was a long shot but hey you never know.

Squadron XII built the 27. When Don got Cig back, he brought the 27 molds and made a few with CRT HIN's. The boat pictured was manufactured by ASI (pop) and marketed as an Imperial. The Squadron and ASI different dashes.

Sounds like something to stay away from with out the CRT HIN.

I picked up one of the Imperial's on a trade. It was your average midrange production boat, qualty-wise. The stringer wrapping was sloppy- spots where the cloth wasn't wetted out or laid down correctly. Obviously built with cost stongly in mind. Had a 454/Alpha. Definitely nothing like an XEX or CRT built boat.
