Busy year.......

Looks like Toronto and Havasu will be cancelled. Border issues and just too far away to plan for on the short notice.

We should know for sure within a day or so.

That is the plan. Guntersville is giving them pretty good $ to come run there.

Havasu Offshore Race Pushed Back to 2026

Professional Racing Offshore (PRO) has postponed its plans to launch an offshore powerboat racing event in Lake Havasu City to 2026.

The group had hoped to bring offshore racing back to Havasu for the first time in 20 years, competing for American Power Boat Association (APBA) points, but decided to give teams more time to prepare by pushing the date back one year.

"We want to ensure enough time ," explains Ashley Landis of PRO. "As a new promoter in offshore, we decided that pivoting to 2026 was the right thing to do. It'll give the biggest bang for racers, spectators and sponsors, and it will give us more time to thoroughly plan a much larger event with the maximum boat count."

PRO has rescheduled the race for Spring of 2026. The race will combine offshore and F1 Powerboat and H1 Unlimited hydroplane racing, with spectators getting the opportunity to experience the thrill of high-speed racing up close, with VIP cabanas available along the pits and race course for an exclusive front-row experience. "The hard work and vision behind this race will truly shine through, and we can’t wait to showcase it," Landis said.

APBA Offshore Race Events as of 4-5-2025

Cocoa Beach, May 15 – 18, National Championship Event
*Guntersville AL, June 6 – 8, Super Stock Only Regional/SS Class National Championship Event
LOTO, June 20 – 22, National Championship Event
New Orleans, June 27 – 29, National Championship Event
Michigan City, August 2-3, National Championship Event
Sheboygan, August 8 – 10, National Championship Event
Chicago, August 30 – 31, National Championship Event
St Petersburg, September 5 – 7, National Championship Event
Clearwater, September 26 – 28, National Championship Event
Englewood, October 9 -12, Regional Event

Key West, November 2-9, World Championship (Key West World's is an event all by itself, not part of the National Series)

The APBA National Championship will be the points total from the best 6 finishes of all 9 events, National and Regional.
The APBA High Points Championship will be the points total from the best of all 9 events, (excludes Key West World’s).
The Championship #1 designation in each class is based on the National Championship, not the High Points Championship.
The Super Stock Class has a SS Class National Championship system for only their class. APBA will still use their best 6 of 9 for the APBA Champ.

Regional events are 1/3 the points of a National Event, the North American Championship event is 2/3 the points of a National Event, so;
First place in a Regional Event is 400 points,
First place in a North American Championship Event is 800 points, (Toronto was the North American Championship event, so not one currently ).
First place in a National Championship Event is 1200 points.

There must be 3 boats entered in a class for anybody in the class to receive points.
