I might be snatch'n up a 87 202 for a river toy.
This one has a 350 mag in it and the guy tells me it runs in the early 70s.
I don't dought it but if I remember right they were kinda light and a little ill handleing with the V/6s that came in them and I know CC didn't build them with V/8s because of the way they handled.

Anyway if anyone has some experince with a 202 could you please share it.

here's a couple pics

I had a 222 Stinger and a friend that had a scorpion of mid 80 vintage, watch for stress cracks

That actually looks EXACTLY like my '87 202 that I bought new. Do you have more pics? Paint job and the "Stinger" on the side does look like mine.

When I bought mine, it had the V6 in it. I had it one year and moved up to a 222 Singer.

Having owned both in the few years they were available, I think the 202's only came with the V6 and the 222 came with the 350 in a 260 and a 270 model or you could get it with a 454ci 330hp with an alpha drive. No 305's or Hi perf 454ci 365hp that I know of. A very, very few did come from the factory with an outboard on a bracket.

It had a V/6 in it and he put the 350 in it.
I didn't get it:( we made a deal on it and I was all set to go get and then he decided to put it on e-bay for a week, I watched it and from what I can tell he didn't get one bid.
He can keep it now, I want it but don't make a deal then at the last min change it:leaving Theres lots of other deals out there hopefuly with someone who will said by his word.

Hey guy i know one thing for sure is that they or Chris was adding sand to the bow because they were so lite and the 222's just might be a whole other story but ........i have asked many questions about this model with little or no response . I would like to mention that i have talked with numerous people who own 202's who have removed the the sand from the bow and claimed that the boat has handle's much better but chime walks between 60 and 70 depending on H P and ended up adding 280 K planes but all in all claim the boat is a very fun boat to own . I also am looking for a 222 or 202 just for sonething quick to drop in the water and have thought if a 202 was to light in the bow i was going to add a small ballest tank just for that reason other then sand. So manag , did you have sand in the bow and what speeds are you getting ?
