Yes I carry the 70-200 L SERIES w/Image Stabilizer as well as a 17- 40 L Series. My 100-400 L Series w/Image Stabilizer is my back up and depends on the pilot whether I would need it or not....

After the 1st few minutes with this pilot I needed to change out the lenses as he was by far the closest I have ever flown to the running boats. Too close in some cases that boats would not fit even in the 17mm lens.

The video guy had full direction over the pilot so I could only set my compositions as quickly as possible as we only spent in most cases 30 seconds on a boat from stern to bow and cross over... So you can imagine how quick I had to act with so little time to work.

You did awesome! I love the close-ups with the wide angle lense. It's obvious he was an awesome pilot and maybe a little crazy as well. There aren't too many pilots that will fly like that. I ended up putting my 100-400 on with the guy I flew with in Ft. Meyers he was flying so high. I wish I could do a shoot like that in the ocean atleast once.

The all white with just a little color 52 OL looked awesome in the water. Caught my eye...looked long and can span some waves..Good job on the pic's Tim
