As part of the cleanup of Stock Island, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office arrested 19 people on charges of dealing drugs.
Two men were arrested for attempting to break into the bank on Duval and Front streets by entering through the roof.
This is the same Bank that was robbed in Hemmingway's "To Have, and Have Not" Stock island is still a sh*thole 20 years later.

A spring breaker was arrested for possession of cocaine and for trying to swallow the plastic bag filled with the drug to avoid arrest.
Two large signs were installed on Flagler Avenue to warn motorists of a duck crossing near 11th Street.
The Monroe County Planning Department ruled that the School Board could not build an elementary school on Big Pine Key because it would interfere with the habitat of the Key deer.
