Here's a few 33 shots. I have always loved the lines of this boat.

What was the DESIGN FEATURE Charlie ? Just more rocker in the last 5 feet of the bottom on the 35 ?

Yes.....that was a new idea back in the day.

That is why the 39 didn't work that well, it was a stretched 35 and the rocker was never adjusted to compensate....it was a real flying machine.

Jacoby took the 39 mold and blocked it to 37.6 and that worked and has forever lived as the Top Gun.

Really love the look of the old style concave topsides.

I know a convex topside yields much more strength but that slab side with the crease going down the middle never really did it for me. Was there any performance advantage or was it just a keep it trailerable at 8 foot thing.

Thanks for the info Charlie.

We had a chance to check Brian's Cig out yesterday -

SPECTACULAR

Fit and finish is incredible, attention to detail is second to none. Awesome job!

Brian, thanks for showing it to Beth and I Saturday.

Hey, where did you get those???:drool5:

Somedays I kick myself for selling, but then somedays I just pound my head on the desk. HA!

I know it's being enjoyed up in the Chicago area. Who knows perhaps it will come back my way someday.....

congrats..that boat is off the hook. The paint job doesnt get any better..the dash is a work of art..from the throttles to the adjustments on the drives and tabs..nice and easy to work on the engines as well. one heck of a restoration.
10+

F-ing insane.

That greyscale paint job is perfect. I really haven't seen anything like that before. Congrats on that boat.

Beautiful Old School ride...
The first boat I was on that did 100mph was BAM,a 36 also.
Amazing boats.I almost bought that 33 from the banker that owned it up by the chain.Took it out in very snotty water on Lake Michy and it took a beating. Is the wood dash redone? It had alot of wood...

Ya... the teak was freshened up along with new Livorsi's and a complete interior. It was a blast to own and always got the looks on LOTO

It's back on the 'Chain in fact it's right back to the same address it came from 4 years ago. Look for it and send me pics of it in action.

You cleaned up the boat alot and did a very nice job.

Here is a photo of the boat in 1980. The boat was called Rated X and had a naked lady on the sides or bow. Owners nickname was Buddy Crisp, he's from NJ but the boat was located in FL. Would love to know more history on the boat.
