1979 Flat Deck Cigarette / 2009 update

He wouldn't happen to have been the guy that forgot to put his drain plug in at the ramp a few weeks ago would he? If it was, this was the one my dad couldn't stop talking about. He couldn't care less about offshore's but was enthralled with the one he saw that day. If this one was it, now I see why. Awesome.

You can see some of the bow here, wish i got more pics of it but was a tad on the buzzed side that day and forgot to get more...

Saw the boat at PIB last sat and sun. it is truly amazing. my gf even said she thought it was one of the "sexiest" boats she has seen.

When Jerry Jacoby talked Don into blocking the 39 foot mold down to 37.6 feet, and pulling what he thought, to be the ideal race boat out, he forgot he didn't have a deck for it.

So, they took a 36 foot race deck mold and pulled a deck....they laid the deck on the much narrower 37.6 and simply cut off the extra walkway space. Voila!! the new deck for the model some day known as the Top Gun.

This is a wonderful restoration.....better than new and the real reason why the Cigarette brand has stayed strong for so long.

When we first saw these boats in the 70's, we just knew we had to have one some day....the feeling is still there.

This boat is truly unbelievable!
What an incredible job.

There are those that think putting $ into boats that you will never see back is dumb.
All i have to say, that this job was worth every penny!

Like I said earlier in here, this is a keeper. You'd be crazy to sell something like this!:sifone:
