I am a volunteer EMT on my local squad and have been for over 20 years. Needless to say I have been sprayed by all types of bodily fluids at one time or another. The worst was not bodily fluids but when the Paramedic (mind you years more training than me) mis-sprayed the nitroglycerine spray...

1000 Islands Poker Run two/three years ago we were partying on the docks and Reggie was hanging out with everyone dressed in his jumpsuit and gold rimmed glasses. He stopped with our crew and B.S.ed for a few minutes, then moved on down the docks. A couple minutes later father and son spectators...

I put one of those on my center console between the 1/4 canopies to step out of the cockpit and onto the deck. It works great and no one ever asks me where should they step while I am busy docking!

Also, watch how the forks of the lift pick the boat. If they put too much pressure on the edge of the step, it can crack it and cause small problems that can turn into major issues! Ask Glassdave, he has done many repairs on improperly handled step bottom boats.

I understand B.O.R. has started its own version of the Tres Martin safety course called A.dvanced B.ayliner O.ffshore R.ace T.raining. You need to be certified to A.B.O.R.T. before you actually start racing!
