    Diamond or JE Pistons?

We ran Diamonds in my Promod car for years, long rod, special pin height etc.Half the price of the custom Venolia's and great service as well ,Diamond is a good company. We run off the shelf JE's in our blown boat motors..

    Talon Cats?

Up to 900 hp per side they actually run approx the same top speed #s as a similar size late 90s to mid 2000 design #6 -36' pleasure Skater or Norteck,140mph or so depending on prop. When you start to put 1000+ hp per side to these hulls that,s where the Talons inefficiency high prop slip rears...

Pics of Cig Rollover in Texas

Greg showed us his faulty trim switch that caused Aquamania to almost flip over going into turn 1 at the 08 worlds, very close call. A bad switch or pump can turn our rigs into a mis guided missile in the right circumstances!

Pics of Cig Rollover in Texas

I never owned an older 911 but on both my mid engine cars F-512TR as well as my SV rear wheel drive Lamborghini Diablo you have to stay on gas as well as brakes through turns or its spin city when the chassis un loads. The same is true with certain step hulls even at 40 mph as it is not always...

    Talon Cats?

Thanks, Back in the mid 90s we watched the 5.0 boys playing with the Vortecks and Pro chargers so we played right along with them. Only we ran methanol instead of gas and 500 ci power in place of their small blocks! We had a lot of fun with that car!

    #6 drive skeg question

Thanks for the advice I cant wait to try them just the way they are. The guys that repaired them 3 years back welded and painted them but never straighten the skeg. The one large 4" x 1 1/2" shark bite or obliterated log hit from 3 seasons ago had bent our Port skeg approx 3/16 of an inch...

    #6 drive skeg question

Our fabricator welding several seasons of shark bites as well as flattened out some ripples and has now highly polished our Drysump 6 drive alum skegs. They are now symmetrical Port and Starboard as to thickness and flatness. What is the fasted finish, brushed ? Painted? Polished? and if it's...

At what speed do you wear lifevests?

I wont get on a performance boat without my Lifeline. I was knocked out hitting the water at less than 60mph some years ago laying face first I almost drowned with a cheap jacket partially on my body.. I must say that other than at Poker runs we are the only rig in our group that where...

    What happened???

While reading this thread I cant help but think of us running the race coarse following the 04 or 05 Oct Deerfield race in very rough water . We took a couple out on my Topgun and compared to the Chesapeake the waves were so large that we coulnt see other boats while leaving the inlet. Finally...

    What happened???

I know for us running the Chesapeake we don,t consider our rigs jewelry but we do consider ourselves and passengers priceless. Our pack generaly cruises in the 95 to 105mph range and in rough water that needs to move towards the 110 + or higher range to stay on top so not to launch bow high as...
