    Standard rates for painting?

On a 33' boat, for hullsides and deck, no lower hull, standard colors and minimal repair...you're looking in the 8-10K range. If you're looking at the color red, then add another $1000.

    Vandalism damage

We use wet-sanding stones here. You can get them at any auto body supply store. They look like small knife sharpening stones. If you use a 400 grit stone with some mild soapy water, it will knock down your touch up exactly to the surface. Once there, then finish with some 2000 grit wet paper by...

Paint prep thoughts on project, Thx

My advice would be to use an automotive epoxy primer as a new base layer over the existing gel flake. Then finish with automotive basecoat/clearcoat as the finish. Traditionally, those hulls were shot with a clear gel and the flake was added from the outside in. As long as the gel is still in...

Who has a stationary exercise bike?

I have a real road bike that I have on a stationary trainer during the winter. Do yourself a favor....get a real bike that you can take for a real ride most of the time, then put it on the trainer in the off season. You'll appreciate the air and the scenery much better.

    Miami boat show sales

I agree wholeheartedly with you, Dollabill. This industry has really suffered some huge hits in the last couple of years. I've seen icons in this field turn into total criminals, and take down innocent associates that had no clue what what was coming. I can't believe the criminality that has...

    Miami boat show sales

The XRT as designed by Sunsation to offer something that is totally new to the industry without having to raise the price any significant amount. They have discussed the marketing on this very intensely, and realize that the market won't allow a significant price increase in this market today...

    Miami boat show sales

Just so that everyone knows, I know for a fact that the XRT that Sunsation introduced in Miami was marketed and sold at the same MSRP compatible with their very popular SSR. Jupiter was merely making a guess at what he thought it might have gone for. This is how a negative virus gets started...

    San diego pd helicopter........ Damn!!!!!

Actually, my wife owns a pet store and she supports the county police dog with its food. The trainer has that dog trained so well.....she was explaining how well the dog obeys commands. When the dog and the officers assess the situation, the officer commands the dog to stand down with a coded...

    if you want blood

I remember seeing that female cop on TV. She had to have several facial surgeries to reconstruct her face. I felt so sorry for her. She didn't stand a chance.
