If you can prove that you are loan-worthy(lender's yardstick)for the boat of your dreams, you can get a boat loan. But then, that particular qualified buyer has an almost unlimited amount of potential vessels to shop; thanks to all of the financial fall-out, like t2x said. The "boat pipe-line"...

Almost every builder has done this when times were tough...doesn't end-up cheap, but usually ends-up well done.

I just came-in from sea-trialing a 2006 21 Sailfish with a customer: that is a duplication/adaptation(splash?) of the SeaCraft hull form. Works pretty well. Siverhawk in NJ. also built a version of that design. They really seem to stand the test of time. Hugh
