Look under the dash at the back of the gauge, the transducer wire plugs into the back of the gauge. Check it and see if it has come unpluged, or loose.

From the pictures on the website, the 28 has a bussel, or so it looks to me. Can somone explain what effect a bussel has on a 28 foot V?

One would think that a 28 foot boat would be more along the lines of an entry level boat for most performance boaters. Yes it would fill a very specialized nitch for folks who want to down size, and want the quality of an OL. You have to wonder how many buyers like that are out their at this...
