There is almost no activity. My membership is in force, only becaue I renewed late last year. But there is barely any activity in the Bilge. Then you flip over here and WHAM. . .the whole first page has posts from today.

I guess SOS is the place to be.

I did a google search on a random Merc part earlier today and an old OSO was one of the hits.

I click on the link and the first post in the thread was scrunched by an MMI ad.

...I didnt even bother reading the first post .

I noticed that to, I think because you have to pay to see it, and so many people like myself and Mr. P have just let our paid membership expire. Just as well anyone, to much time keeping up with multiple boards.

OK.. Shoulder is getting better, so I'm keeping the boat. (for now.

I'm running 32" labbed bravos. The slip is really high. 15+-%, and all I got is 84.+ MPH. in mod chops. I'm sure the 525's with the SM shorties could push this thing a little faster. With 30" labbed bravos, but less slip. Pretty much the same. She runs great in rough seas. I know the Avanti is not the fastest hull around but there is got to be a way to get a few MPH's out of this thing. Any thoughts? Dif. props? I got 4 sets and can't get rid of them so I really don't feel like getting more props.
Just looking for some ideas here to.

we went after the key members, the posting ones and the ones that spend money.. when we got them, it was easy to get over 100 sponsors.. when the advertisers start to see it, its over..... oso is calling the advertisers up and begging them to come back at a fraction of the cost... they are saying no.... this summer will be huge for us, we will be everywhere..... the people will always be where the party is at, right now its here... enjoy people.... a lot of work is going into this, and we are nothing without our members, nothing.. we will never forget that, never.....

Agree with Dave, but....
In fairness... it wasn't as aggressive as all that. An opportunity was presented to key members, and then a wider circle. Nobody was stolen away from anywhere... but many took the opportunity that was presented.

Had an idea today for anyone who is used to clicking a favorite called "OSO" or "Offshore Only", simply save a new favorite to SOS using those titles. i may do it as a way to wean myself.

You wouldn't think someone who was mainly a lurker would be attached, but i really did enjoy reading most of the dialogue. Just didn't feel my comments would've added anything.

Maybe with the new site, 'll get a better foothold on the community and be more active.

I feel more comfortable here than over there. I've been a member there since '03 I think and never really felt like I was a part of it. Just an observer. That seems to be different here.
