N.B.R.G.

N.B.R.G. has released pending class breakdown requests in the following format:

When filling out your entry form, on the line labeled as class, please follow these simple instructions.
Part 1 Cats start with "C", Vee's start with "V"
Part 2 Boat length (please round to nearest whole foot) i,e: 23'5" = 23 and 23'6" =24
Part 3 Horsepower, exact as possible i.e: if your motor dynoed at 648 hp use 648 NOT 650(if mulitple engines, combined horsepower)

So a 35' Fountain with twins, one engine making 732 hp and the other 736 would be class V35-1468.
In the unlikely event that 2 or more boats would end up in the same class, participation trophies as well as free t-shirts will be awarded to all class participants,

N.B,R.G. hopes that by establishing class breakdowns in this manner, it will finally rid the sport of Offshore Racing of any and all forms of cheating, sand bagging or protesting, as well as completely eliminate the need for not only expensive GPS systems which invariably lead to arguments of accuracy as no racer can claim it malfunctioned and that they did not "break out" 47 times in 6 laps, it will also eliminate the need for time consuming and cumbersome tech inspections and arguments over rule interpretation.

Wobble and beckmw

The New Boat Race Group (N.B.R.G.) not only raises the bar that SBI, OPA, OSS, RWO, POPRA, GLOPRA, ABCD, EFGH, WXYZ, and AARP have strived to reach, it sits at that bar proudly, leaving a slew of empties in its wake.

No where else can fans root for their winning team as they scream around a 1.5 mile loop in boats destined for true offshore glory, all from the comfort of their hotel balconies (Room discounts available with your all access N.B.R.G. VIP Fan Club membership (just $99.95 per year with free N.B.R.G, coozie and T-Shirt).

Get in on the action now, N.B.R.G. has a class just for you !!

So I could have a class for all 6 of my boats?

Would they have separate races for all 6 classes? Or am I going to have to find drivers?

No 6'rs. The smallest is 10'.

I'm just trying to figure out if there is a separate race for each class. That way I could drive all 6 myself......

3.

So, at any point, would any boats come off the trailer?

Yes, all boats will be in the water. it is a boat race afterall.

Unfortunately this would not be possible. Due to the class structure design to award everyone no only a trophy and free t-shirt just for participating, but also a first place trophy, time constraints or running 47+ classes prohibit separation. Do not let this deter you though.

With an average of 3 combined class races on race day, this affords you the opportunity to request which race you class is in. So you can request 1st race for one boat, 2nd race for another and 3rd race for yet another. This will give you 3 victories on race day if you enter 3 boats,

But wait !! there's more !! As the only requirement to win is to start the race, if your quick, you can start 1st race in one boat, complete a lap (this constitutes a start) return to the dock, jump in the next boat, hit the course and complete a lap, return to dock and jump in 3rd boat and complete lap, if your quick you can win 3 classes per race and with 3 races per day that would be 9 first place finishes.

Rememberm N.B.R.G. only requires you to complete one lap for a class victory. N.B.R.G. realizes how difficult and taxing it is on equipment to run at speed on a 1.5 mile course for more than 1 lap.

Hold on a minute. Your missing another opportunity to earn a trophy.

Don't forget the best looking uniforms or who brought the most propellers.

I thought you were in charge of that... Though by popular consensus, those trophies are engraved margarita glasses... (or red solo cups with 1st place written in black sharpie)

How many laps for a race? At 1 1/2 miles per lap, you certainly would want to keep the lap count down. It should certainly not be as long as the World's were this year on Sunday at a whopping 9 laps, 38 miles:eek: My gosh, 40 gallons of gas is expensive. And the fans having to watch for an entire 28 minutes without dozing off is a bit much.

Unfortunatly This is exactly what a bystander at any given race think,s they are watching

Moving the races in closer with shorter lap distance and more laps to increase the visible action for the fans has killed the original spirit of the racing.

Making it fan friendly has not brought bigger purses. It's no longer Offshore racing, in spirit or by definition.
