What would be fair to charge

Lee, You have a good eye and memory the guys name is Gary Rollins and the shop was on Strathmore off of Joy Rd in Detroit. Yes there are 2 other spot with the serial numbers and they do not match the dash. I posted them on the Cuda registry and nothing came up. The body numbers are BO 421225 from the radiator core support and the cowl the only thing I could come up with is 1972 super stock. and I rechecked my information sheet and the dash and registration come up as 1973 Barracuda.

I have a piece of crap 73 olds wagon I did the transmission for thats rotting into the ground behind my shop now for it's 3rd year,I made the mistake of not getting the owner to sign a repair order so i can't put a mechanics lein on it,he paid me 90% of what he owes me,I told him just come and get the damn thing,we'll call it even as I'm tired of looking at it cluttering up my yard. In the spring I'm going to start calling him everyday and if he doesn't remove it I will call the police and have it tagged as abandoned. The problem in Mi is without a storage agreement or a signed repair order if it's tagged as abandoned the police impound it and remove it for you BUT you gert no claim to it. I also have a 1962 chevy pickup prostreet project cluttering up my back barn that I can't get the owner to move on,I have learned to get a signed repair order on everything these days and make it crystal clear my shop is not the new home for other peoples projects they have no ambition to finish,Smitty

Well the guy paid up about 3 days after by sending me a letter with a check begging me to continue working on the car. He has agreed to pay $1000.00 for the year the car has been here and start with the bimonthly payments this month. Over the years I have had customers abandon cars at my shop but with all the local sheeny's I never had to go the legal route to get rid of them.

Save all your paperwork/communication with him. I would have him sign a new contract before finishing any more work. Maybe have LDD write it up for you :sifone:
