The morning after, now what?

The scary part is that once the second term of this nightmare is over, we'll still have the idiot voters who elected him being led by the idiot liberal media. Part of me wishes that Romney would run again. Not perfect, but he's a leader who understands the economy and business. But why would he? He doesn't need the hassle.

Has anyone been able to verify he is having trouble signing up for his own health care because of a bad SSN? The story seems to change daily.

The government can't print enough to escape the coming collapse. 2014 is going to make 2008 look like an economic boom period.

Report: 'Fast and Furious' gun turns up at Mexico shootout scene
By Mario Trujillo January 01, 2014, 10:05 am

A gun from the failed U.S. operation known as "Fast and Furious" turned up at the scene of a shootout between Mexican authorities and alleged cartel gunmen last month, according to CNN.

U.S. officials told CNN at least one AK-47-style gun that could be traced back to the failed gun-walking scheme was found at the scene.

The shootout on Dec. 18 left five alleged cartel members dead in Puerto Penasco, a popular tourist site in Mexico.
The now-defunct Fast and Furious program began in 2009 and was run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Agents allowed low-level weapons purchasers to cross the Mexican border in an attempt to expose trafficking routes used by Mexican cartels. But the agency ultimately lost track of some weapons, including two found at the scene of the killing of a border patrol agent in 2010.

The ATF acknowledged that weapons from the operation would likely continue to turn up at crime scenes.

“ATF has accepted responsibility for the mistakes made in the Fast and Furious investigation and at the attorney general's direction we have taken appropriate and decisive action to ensure that these errors will not be repeated,” the bureau said in a statement to CNN.

"And we acknowledge that, regrettably, firearms related to the Fast and Furious investigation will likely continue to be recovered at future crime scenes," it added.

House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) led the congressional investigation into the program.

Grassley, in a statement to CNN, expressed regret that no one in the administration had yet been held accountable.

“Unfortunately, guns from Fast and Furious will be found in operations like this for years to come," he said.

Expanding Medicaid increases ER visits in Oregon study

By Monte Morin
January 2, 2014, 6:07 p.m.

An Oregon Medicaid expansion program found that low-income adults who were covered by government health insurance had visited hospital emergency rooms 40% more often than other adults.

The study, published online Thursday in the journal Science, comes at a time when many states are expanding Medicaid as part of the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare.

While federal and state policymakers have argued that expanding Medicaid would reduce costly and inefficient use of hospital emergency rooms by increasing access to primary healthcare, the Science study suggests this is not the case.

"When you cover the uninsured, emergency room use goes up by a large magnitude," said senior study author and MIT economics professor Amy Finkelstein. "In no case were we able to find any subpopulations, or type of conditions, for which Medicaid caused a significant decrease in emergency department use."

The study was tied to a 2008 Medicaid expansion program in Oregon, in which officials held a lottery to enroll 30,000 eligible adults out of a total pool of 90,000.

Too funny!!!! Wonder if it will get pulled?????

President Obama catching heat for the way he plays golf

The Times also posted a video (which is credited to Reuters ) of Obama's golfing prowess. It showed multiple practice shots accompanied by the noise of dozens of cameras, and the footage was intermingled with some text that was . . . let's just say less than flattering when it came to the President's prowess as a duffer. See for yourself:

I signed in and left this comment.

That's about as an effeminate golf swing as you'll ever see. In his defense, its tough to play whilst stoned out of your mind...most of that 6 hours is in the men's bathroom at the turn...He calls it the "Duff'-n-Fluff-n-Duff "

I don't see what the fuss is about. His golf skills are commensurate to his leadership skills.

He's a pathetic, incompetent wimp as a leader, too.
