Port Huron International Powerboat Race, Photos and Info

I drove over to watch the race and take a few photos. I decided to go over and shoot from the Canadian side because of how close we got to the wall a few times when I was racing with Simmons. Well, it was a nice spot to watch from. Broadco actually soaked the crowd during the race when he got pushed out a bit too wide.

Some Class 6 to start. 10 boats, one course, narrow north turn....

The first race was delayed by about 20 minutes by this guy going through..

Took a couple shots of the spectators during the delay between the first and second races.

Porsche had three cars there in a display for purchase.

Then this guy delayed the start of the second race for about 40 minutes. He came down river, turned the boat around pointing upstream, and backed into the gas dock on the Canadian side....

Had a bit of entertainment while all that was going on...

Yea that frieghtor was something else! was waiting in the bad newz boat for him to park so we could get the second race go'n. then he parked right in the apex of turn 1. that made the corner interesting! lol

They ran Class 1, Class 4, Class 5 together.....
