Mornoin Ho's !:seeya:

A kid got suspended this week for chewing a pop tart into the shape of a gun......the school said that counselors were on hand for any children that suffered mental anguish over a seeing a pastry . The NRA gave the kid a lifetime membership.

One of the newspaper stories I saw was the pop tart chew gun story. I think schools are going nuts, in grade 2 brought my bb gun for show n tell. Nobody freaked out.

My Dad just called, mother is out visiting her friends, so he's on his own for lunch and dinner. He wants to go for all you can eat sushi. Even though I've had it twice this week, I'm up for it.

Water was nice yesterday. Just checked out the weather in Connecticut.....chilly at night. Then I checked out the weather at my Sister's town in Maine....high of 63...low of 46 forecasted for next weekend.

Forecast was for sunny today but its mostly cloudy and might rain. Going to do the lawn and some general yard cleanup today. Burn ban came into effect June 1st, cant burn anything.

Ummm.....
Today is June 2nd.
Is there a Canadian conversion?

I don't know if this is really cheating....but, about 10 years ago I built an "auxiliary heater" on my property. I ran some pipes from the firebox over to a greenhouse to tap into the hydronics system. Whenever I had burnables I'd throw them into the "auxiliary heater/furnace". Of course we've got strict burning regulations - it's Oregon. Fire Department shows up one day all puffed up and reading me the riot act about all the EPA, fire and state regs I was breaking- I don't say a word. I just calmly walk over to the unit and ask if it's really against the law to heat my greenhouse and simply point out the pipes. Freddy Fire Chief and his crew are suddenly at a loss for words and sheepishly get back into their rig and quietly pull away.

Here in rural area's only we can burn yard waste and paper garbage from Sept 30 to June 1. I grew up in a house on the beach here. We'd build fire pits out of drift wood and have fires all summer long. Fire Dept showed up one time and made us put it out.
