Been offered a sweet deal on a 2000 454 fuel injected motor. since its merc, I Think its all self contained on the motor. Will it be simple plug and play with my existing plug/wiring harness set up for 454 carb motor??

I have almost no experience in this, but might there not be a functional difference between a GenIV mechanical fuel pump motor and a electric fuel pump motor..

Even if you have to do some minor mods, I think it will be easier, and you'll be happier, and out less $$ than doing a sbc conversion.
Plus, if you're diehard on going OB after one season (which I frown upon), you'll be able to sell the BBC a lot easier.

Well If class 7 flops, or I watch a couple races and change my mind, there will definitly be a big block with a blower under the hatch next summer. Nothing totally outragous, just 500~600 hp in a 22 foot boat. That way I can tie it to the dock, punch it in reverse and actually have a 24/7 :sifone:

Looks good!

You shouldn't have too much trouble making that work.

Look forward to seeing more.

Blahda blahda bleda blahda.

?????????????????

Are there major differences between a carb wiring harness and a fuel injection wiring harness? Or are there just minor differences at the engine, not from the dash? I don't recall making major changes, other than a couple extra wire adds, when we switched from carb to Haltech injection on mine.
