Well, make sure you are there if at all possible. It is shaping up pretty well from what I'm hearing.

Here's a link to the Inside information

OPA 1st Annual Heritage Coast Offshore Grand Prix - Serious Offshore

I received a call yesterday morning that CatCan Do was leaving the shop to go out and test on Muskegon Lake, and they were planning to be in attendance with the new engines, modified bottom, and new hatches for the engines. (Probably still in some primer). That makes the official/unofficial boat count something like this:

77 Amsoil
388 Phoenix Parts
8 Infinity
Super Vee
V1 Wazzup
V6 Strictly Business
Vee Lite
411 Octane
21 Pirate racing
66 Tug It
Class 1
129 Cleveland Construction
105 Lighting Jacks
Class 3
360 Bull on the Beach
322 TKO
Class 4
401 Simmons Marine
419 Twins Screws/R&S
487 Jersey Outlaw
4?? Team Velocity
Class 5
555 Oak Hill Sales
517 Saris Racing Engines
Class 6
633 Wazzup2
6?? Combat Zone
626 Maxed Out Motor Sports
613 Bad News
602 Bat Boat
644 Knot Guilty
619 PFE
609 Crocket Marine
607 Akula

Pretty good list, and I'll keep it updated as I find out more.

A little interesting snippet, I was talking to Ron Polli the other day and this will be the very first race where the turn buoys are the new Amsoil, 6' tall' duplicate oil cans. He said they are heavy!!!

I wonder if you still have to pay for the replacement if you take one out??????

Just modified up above on the list of committed teams. The "Volocity" team I had in 5 is actually Team Velocity, a brand new father and son team in Class 4.

Thank you Den Mutha!!

I, might ........................are you................................and to tell you the truth ..i am throwing a whole lot of option's out there.......... considering my family lives on that side of the State ..

Paul , just a quick mention ....there is a Grandfather clause ............on Cat - Can - Doo ........................... considering it already has ..............a modified hull or tunnel ...................that is wider....................... from the start .

We will get there Saturday, late morning I'm guessing. Maybe noonish. Got the house sitter lined up to stay, will be coming back Monday.

You should come over. You are one of the guys who convinced me I should go see that area of the state...

I know the wide tunnel was grandfathered. Would be sweet if they ever brought back the true Super Cat class....

Updates:

Looks as if 487 Outlaw is out, not sure why yet.

Looks as if 517 Saris is out with a big delam issue.

And, latest update on Team Velocity, the team is "Monkey Business" #425. Welcome!

Paul , actually ....i would like to kill three birds with one stone first go to the race , visit my father ,and mother-in -law , and look at a boat maybe to purchase , along with a few other things . I, am going to give Dave a call today he sent me an E-mail stating he might be up that way either to help out or throttle a Bat boat .

You could make it four birds...

I chatted with Glass Dave, he's gonna go up with and hang with 2TR, and maybe bring a boat to race if he can get it fixed in time. I don't think you guys have ever met in person!

Oh yeah, we try to do everything together:kiss:.......

Looks like there's a chance I may "Have:26:" to drive again!! :driving::26:

Its a very long drive to the other side of the state and Tawas should be at least a four hour drive ,and then some depending on which way you go .

Just got off the phone with Dave and from the sound of things he is around Bay City , at the moment which is not that far from Tawas , and paul did you mean driving to Tawas or ...................
