The official really freaking wicked awesome perfect things aboot Canada thread, eh?

That strikes me as a comparative reference. In America, when we are making a comparative reference, we say "than." When we are making a successive or sequential reference we say "then."
For example (Par exemple) Most Canadians will admit that William Shatner is cooler THAN Leonard Nimoy but not as cool as he was back THEN.

We'll help you. You can learn American. :)

Those of us with good english skills like Fund, anyway.....

As often as he corrects me, I'm beginning to think I must originally be from Canada too.......:)

I knew it!!!! He IS Canadian!!!
We are all Canadians inside. When we can't get the key in the lock because it is frozen, we are Canadian. When we can't get in to see the doctor for a month, we are Canadian. When we say "duller" but we mean money, we are Canadian. When the boating season doesn't start until July and is over in August, we are Canadian. When we look for a restaurant, but all the choices are Asian, we are Canadian. :) :D :o

You must have visited the city of Richmond. More than half of its population is Asian. Richmond has mostly Asian malls and restaurants.

I went to Niagra Falls, and then Toronto for the Honeymoon with my ex-wife.
We wound up in the Asian section of Toronto.
That whole city made me feel like a country boy hick.
I remember running back towards Detroit/Windsor on the 401(?) 410 (?) Queen's Highway and doing 85-90 (mph) and getting passed by the RCMP cars

China town of Toronto is nothing compared to Vancouver or Richmond. Makes for great Chinese restaurants, thats a plus. I know the highways in Ontario people drive fast and the police don't seem to care. People drive fast in BC but its nothing compared to Ontario. Thats one problem I have driving in the states, the cops seem to care about speeding even 10 over the limit.

I think Vermont when I think Maple syrup.

Has anyone mentioned Bob & Doug?

Quebec is the largest producer in the World of maple syrup, guess in Canada we think of as being Canadian. I don't think Bob & Doug have been mentioned. Their movie Strange Brew was funny back in the 1980's.
