Anyone for a bad 100mph Apache - unbelievable price

Yes but there is Big problem.

The European border is closed for all second hand (US too) boats unless they are CE-certified & tagged (and vaccined too I reckon).
The only ones getting exempt are Raceboats that the fabricator can prove to be one and built to be one ( has to have a tag stating it being a raceboat) or aboat that has been over here before 1998.
EU is all about protecting their own market right now.

Or how is it Mange ?
If you got a bulletproof system a 28 Pantera is waiting for a solution.

I find it funny that the USCGC doesn´t apply here as it´s much more strict.

You know Mika, I'm not living in the "land of commie's" like you do:rofl:
I have taken 7-8 boats from US to Sweden, never any probs with the
european customs race boat or regular daycruiser. Take your project
boat via Sweden:) or I have a 24 Pantera for sale if you need a good boat:sifone:

Yes, Will really took care of the boat and enjoyed it, however over the years of racing as any race boat does things get loose and need repair. for the intended use when Will owned it, it was perfect. upper 80's and solid. but to turn it back into a 100 mph ride, would take quite a bit more. the boat has a half cabin now, which it didnt have, and the redo, was just removing a 3rd motor and making it a seat. is it a junker, by all means no. It will just take a lil more than a pocketful of pennies to make it pristine. Will knew it. Is it worth it to totally redo, depends on the owner and his money. To bring it up to today's standards and a stagger, I could easily see a bill of over 200K. I'm almost halfway there on my 20ft cig, and this is 25 ft longer...:D

Thanks for answer:)
The boat is a 1985 or something? I must say I like the proportions of
this 45 more than the 47.

KGB/FBI/CIA/Gestapo/Stasi/Säpo/Supo...same "commies"(= government employed who I have to pay their wages) to me.
Always digging up on other peoples things like CE-certifications if not having more producing work to do. Like harrassing Truckers and speeders.

I know you got a 24 for sale.. toote too.
But here lies the problem.

I can just see some of the Customs getting their head blowup when they find that the boats aren´t CE-certified. Unless I show them I have a Raceboat.
I know our Customs halted second hand import on the spot aqnd they do check boats coming via another EU country too.

No remember we ain´t that sloppy what and who we let in in our country as we have one bad example already west of us and another east of us..:dupe:
So I rather live in a "land of commies" as you put it than a land of Socialdemocrats... and do not drive a socialcontainer (= Volvo).:seeya:

Chris for your information,I have a contract and a large deposit on the boat, going out with a couple guys after the first to bring back to LOTO, yes I'll have title in hand the owner told me it is a cut down 47, the drives are dry sumped new skeg design merc 6 drives according to him, pictures show new skeg design, Motors are out of boat being rebuilt to 1200's by my builder, It will run 100mph when I sell it. I was told trailer was new Myco . I was told nothing about any Structural damage from the owner and nothing is in his ad about that either. Parks has bought and sold several Apaches he said, and until I see any problems I'll believe his representation to me. Boat is being surveyed . This is the information I have been told by the owner,I did'nt make up anything, If It needs all this work or has been misrepresented then I'll either adjust my price or decline the purchase . Again everything you guys are saying here is unwarranted, believe me there are alot more guys that should be watched than me, all the guys bashing me ,I've never met or know them, they just assume if they read something its true, thats the problem in the world today, thanks Jim

The 45 Apache is not a cut down 47, It a model all its own!!!!!, they made 2 of them I believe!!!!

close willy, but not 100% accurate, this was the only 45 made from a dammed mold. The other was a canopied race boat that was 47, but while seated in the canopy they couldn't see past the bow, so the deck was literally cut open and the bow was cut down, in turn reducing the length, if i remeber correctly is is about 45'6"...:D

And Jim, I cant see the guy taking out Wills wet 6's and putting in drives and selling it to you for that price, lots isnt adding up. make sure you check it all out.

Cut down 47 ???? the sheer has been cut down??Lowered!
yes, I remember the story, it was done right before a race. I dont know who told it but was in the apache section on oso, said they were scared to death, but went out and ran it. maybe Bobby s can chime in.

found it, quoted from Richie himself;

It is a long story re: Apache Heritage, I could write a mini book about the ADVENTURE and the crew. I`ll shoot for the highlights. The boat is a regular 47` cut down. Everyone thought it was a 50` because of the race number which I was given by Don Johnson after racing the 50` Revenge super cat.
I was interviewed by Omar Danial and Patrick Mercurio for the throttleman position along with Bobby Moore, Bobby Idoni, Steve Curtis etc.. When I met the driver Omar we had instant chemistry and we said let`s go racing, rest is history, three world titles later, all first place finishes except one, where we finished second to Tres and INXS water turned out calm first race in Key West in 1993 we had our boat set up wrong, next and final race was 6` to 8` seas with 20 mph winds. We averaged in the 101 mph range consistant every lap and won, Beat all the cats, and won overall.
when we were in progress of building the Heritage, I suggested to Mark McManus that we make it a canopy sit down boat. Mark was all for it, many others who heard about the thought laughed and said we would get beat up really bad, and this was from some famous guys in the sport. I told Mark and Omar that nothing hit harder than a 22,000 lb. four engine fifty foot cat at 135 mph. in six footers. The V-bottom would be incredible, which it was.
When we tested at Lake X on a monday before having to be in Key West for first race on Wed. we found that we could not see over the bow, we failed to cut the bow down enough, so we hung out of the canopy and finished our set-up work. Top speed was in the 115 mph range. We called Mark and told him the problem, he said bring it back to Miami and we`ll fix it???????? Monday night Curtis Chapman cut the front of the deck lose from the hull all the way back to the canopy, then commenced to cut about another 18" or so out of the nose, dropped it back down on the hull glassed it up. we left for Key West, for drivers meeting etc. boat showed up at 6:00 am Wed. morning at stock Island, we nervously put her in the water, as we dressed for the race, all the time wondering how she would sit.
When we took off to go to the Galleon it was approx. 5` to 6` following sea, we could finally see pretty good, the faster we went the better we could see, we didn`t even realize how fast until we looked at the speedo and was a solid 100 to 105.
Apache Heritage is by far the most incredible boat I have ever raced. Once we pulled the straps down and became part of the boat, it was history. Incidentally it was the first time Omar had ever raced, and first time we were together in an ocean race, and of all things the worlds in Key West.
The Apache Heritage TEAM was the best I have ever had the pleasure of being associated with. And I believe history was written. To the best of my knowledge we built the first successful canopied V-Bottom race boat, which set the benchmark for all others. Power was triple Merc. 1,000`s number six wet sumps. Check out an article that Poker run magazine did last year on the boat team etc. It was a great article. Thanks for remembering the Heritage 7XCHAMP

Good point.
at least it brings up good conversation.

Rob, Anthony and I both thought they were dry sumps, and was told that, I heard there was only 1 made, did'nt know it was a new model, Until you told me it was damaged we had no clue , I have spoke with owner never heard a word about it. It sounds like I should just bail on this thing, sounds like a lot of problems and I'll waste even more money finding out things that you have told me, I posted what I was told and thought it was a great boat at a great deal at 120k, thanks Jim

Well just do the due diligence when you go to look at it. If he says they are dry and they arent, then walk.
