I don't know how this fits the category, but I hate every AC/DC song out there.
Yet, I see they served there purpose and were a good band - butr I just can't stand them. Maybe because they are so overrated, and have been overplayed for decades.

I really enjoy a lot of Queensryche songs, but Silent Lucidity bites!
I will 2nd the Iron Maiden mentioned too. They actually have a couple others that sent them too far into story telling and too far from ROCKING!
Im the opposite. I like old metallica Kill em all, master of puppets, and justice for all but when the black album came out i think they started to go down hill

Pete, you and I are on the same page. Kill 'em All, And Justice for All, Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightening... That's where I get off the bus too. After those early albums, I think they were just a bunch of rich guys doing Metallica covers.

Along with that thinking...
Iron Maiden ended as I know them at the Powerslave album.
They had a few hit and miss good songs after that (Stranger in a Strange land, Fear of the dark), but in general the albums seemed more about "Staying at the top and putting out an album" as opposed to when they were "younger" and "hungrier".
Same thing with Guns n Roses. I saw them play the Toledo Sports Arena ~'87. It was about three weeks before "Welcome to the Jungle" hit heavy rotation on MTV.
That was one of the best shows I've ever seen. They were "hungry" and they really "worked".
Once they "broke-out", Axl became the phockin' prima donna that he is today...
