Dual Fuel Tanks, one Guage.

Can some show me a simple diagram for wiring two tanks to one switch (three position switch) I had some work done now only one tank shows fuel, and they are both full of gas.

I think there are too many wires going to one of the tanks. My mechanic is like the old Jimmy Buffet song " Sometimes he's magic, sometimes he's tragic"

Thanks John.

I think some sending units require a power lead also. Three wires. I would try the ground wire first. Check the ground on the tank unit.

Even though they have become popular on performance boats, I would highly recommend to anyone that has the Centroid/Livorsi type electronic sensor tube type fuel level senders, to get rid of them. For the simple reason that they require a 12 volt hot lead to the stud connections, and wire that lays across the top of the fuel tank.

I feel the same way.
