My parents had a house on the water in Lakeside for years and a condo near Catawba until about 3 years ago.
I really want to come up, but coin is in short supply these days. I believe Cleveland is about 1.5 hours away from there? Any cheap motels near Dreamer's joint? It would be a blast to meet everybody.I'm in Cincinnati - actually, right inbetween Cinci and Dayton. My zip code is Morrow, but you might have heard of Lebanon?
You might want to invest in a map. Lebanon is about 4 hours from downtown Cleveland
Sorry. I meant 1.5 hours from Marblehead / Lakeside / Port Clinton, etc.
But yes, about 4 hrs. from my home to Cleveland.

Yes. Don't ask me if I'm happy about it. Hoping to go down to Florida in Feb. for another visit though. Summer in Ohio is great - SUCKS in the Winter!

Not really, I spend as little time in Cincy as possible, this little farm boy hates the city.Will have to hook up for a drink and a gun show this winter.
Hell yes! I don't live in the city. No freekin' way! I'm a country boy too. I've been in the city once (since moving back in Feb.) for a Reds game many months ago and that's it. Gun shows in Dayton all the time. I have not been to one in a while. I'm surrounded by cattle, gravel pits and row crops.

I went to Cleveland a few years ago, and was really disappointed from years past that I remember.
I've been going to Louisville the past few years, and it's been a better show for performance boats.
Not really, I spend as little time in Cincy as possible, this little farm boy hates the city.
Let me know when you two are getting together - I'll try to make it as well.
I've lived in Hebron for six yrs. and have actually been to Cinci maybe 10 times. It's a town to drive through, not to stop in.

I live right by the boat show, 1 hr from Lakeside,t hat's where my trailer is.
There is a big marriot right behind my house, exit 240 (W150st.)off I71 if anyone wants to check it out. Come on up!!

Im actually north of Columbus, I live in a cornfield, work in a gravel pit, and the cattle is a whole other story. The G/F technically lives near Fairfield so I spend the occasional winter weekend down there. Gun shows are in Sharronville, and Dayton almost every weekend. Buoy, arent you near a town that has "Y'all" painted on a water tower?
Back to the Cleveland show, no one goes for the performance boats, its more of an excuse to get the summer gang together all in one place and drink, you pass a few boats on the way to the bar, and maybe catch a glimpse of that stupid squirrel. Basically its like going to PIB, you drive a long way, to pay a huge cover charge to get inside and buy overpriced drinks with your pals.
