What did that have to do with the British???? It was a band of Arab terrorists.
P.S. I put my money on the car. By the time the boat turns around the car will be back in Marathon IMHO.
Many years ago they ran the John Player Lotus F-1 car against the John Player Formula-1 tunnel boat with an Evinrude V8. The boat held its own up to about 110 mph....after that the car stormed away. They also raced an F1 car against a swedish jet fighter....same scenario except the plane left the picture at about 150 or so.
A good car ( top end Ferrari, Lambo, Bughatti, etc) should cross that bridge at well over 200 and turn around in a few seconds..... I doubt that even the Geico can hold 200 mph for 7 miles, let alone twice, plus the turn around will take an eternity by comparison. a "Cigarette" style boat will fair much worse. Maybe an Unlimited Hydro could get it done with only one driver and enough fuel. Main thing is that nobody gets hurt in this attempt.
