I'm heading to the ""Social headquarters for Washington's intellectual elite" Tuesday for dinner with my Grandfather- whoo hooo!!

Think anyone there would like to hear my wisdom?

Just don't fart.

But make sure to pass around the dolphin pics.
And tell them about this site. They can see your works in action.
You may even be able to get some grants to get the race team started.

Haven't noticed any intellectual's in Washington in years. At least not in politics.

At least not in politics.

Not too many politicans- 3 Presidents (Hoover, Wilson & Taft- Roosevelt was an associate member and Coolage was elected in but declined after getting the bill) and 2 VP's. There is about a dozen Supreme Court justices, 32 Nobel Prize winners, 56 Pulitzer Prize winners and 45 recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

This private club, devoted to the "advancement of its members in science, literature, and art" as well as to their "mutual improvement by social intercourse," has been a haven for DC's elite since John Wesley Powell founded it in 1878.

Meritorious original work in science, literature, or the arts and are known to be cultivated or have been recognized as distinguished in a learned profession or public service

I was invited to that place a dozen times or more back in the mid-80's......

by my boss..... we were hired to fix a bunch of plaster issues in that joint.

Amazing place!

I even learned a thing or two- like burbon and club soda don't taste good no matter how many of them I drank.
