F1 race in Austin 2012

F1 has signed a deal to race F1 in a new facility in Austin from 2012 to 2020.

as a F1 fan, I applaud Texas/Austin for putting up over 250 million to support F1 in Amercia.

Hellman optioned the land some 3 years ago near the airport. Supposedly the permits and all are already approved. Construction shouldn't be far behind. If you look at the recent tracks that Tilke has designed for F1 (bahrain, yas marina, sepang, shanghai, istanbul), this place won't be hard to miss in Texas.

There is lots of open land here.. I understand the land has been secured.. It just has not yet been announced where.. I will keep you posted.
