Anyone have real experience with these engies. I have a pair that at 75 hours had the uppers done. Since then I've run the majority of hours and they are not leakin one drop of oil and have 116 hours. After key west I'm getting them rebuilt. At that time they will probably have 125 hours and still be running strong.

Mercury requires a 50 hour service on them but you can get 75 out of them.A complete overhaul should be done at your 125 mark.

Brace, i have 1075s in my 55mti, i am at 87 hours - 30+ hours of real run time, with out touching them, i have changed the oil, and lashed every 10, the budlight boat is north of 140hrs - about 139 hours of hard run time with out touching them, on the same program as i am, we have changes the idler pulleys as preventative measure, but so far so good, i have lost an impeller a few times, a few sensors, thats about it.

What up Cash!!! yeah headed in thrusday, leave on friday"s run we'll have a beverage. looking forward to it, havent been on the boat since may!!!too long

I guess the good news is with that kind of power you cover a lot of miles in 50 hours :coolgleamA:

I figure that with my 80mph boat compared to my new boat. I will boat the same amount, however instead of 100 hours run time I will be at 60 hours run time a summer. Reason is cruise speed and covering much more distance quicker.
