Twin turbo engines

the air comes out of the turbo and goes through the pipe that is behind the ignition coils that hugs the back and side of the block and goes under the oil pan towards the front.

That's a good plan on the piping. What about the inducer are you guys going to run just a screen on the front? Or just chew up the zip ties as they show up from the fourth dimension.:sifone::smash:

What kind of bracing for the turbos do you have as support for the big water?

Real nice looking set up Brad and Tyson.

The turbos are definately like a really powerful vacume cleaner so they will definately suck anything left in the engine compartment, the good thing is with the speed they turn anything that goes into them is turned into dust.. We never had any problems with my turbos eating something so this one should not either. But we have built a screen for them but mainly just for when were working on them, while it's running so you don't get your fingers in them.

There is a brace that goes straight down from the bottom of the turbos to the bellhousing to hold the weight in the rough water, I will take a pic of it when I go back over there.

If I can be a little nosy, got a few questions:
1. CID
2. Compression ratio
3. Boost
4. RPM redline of motor

can you get another picture of the charge tube.... I am not understanding how it is plumbed?? BTW they look incredible... are they for the 388?

1: 632 cuin
2: 8.5-1
3: The boost will be controlled electronically by the computer 6 - 30 lbs
4: rpm redline will be 6500-7000 for normal running and 7500 for shootout.

+1

Is part of the charge tube(s) not installed yet?

They sure are clean :USA:

.

The charge tubes come out of the turbo and hug the block and go under the oilpan and forward towards the firewall there they go through the intercooler and come back into the throttlebody. No they are not in the pic because they will be mounted to the intercooler in the boat.. We will have temporary ones for dynoing.

What do the two supercharger like scoops at the top do?

That is the throttle body, the blades in the front of it open to let the air in, it gives us a round spot to hook the tube comming from the intercooler to. I will take pictures of the intake tubes tomorrow

Spread bore block then with the 4.6 bore?

No it's not spread bore., I know there is a small space for the gasket to seal but I have ran 632 with twin turbo since 2002 in my boat up to 30 psi ( accidentally) and we never blew a head gasket. Normally when people blow head gaskets between tight bores they did something else wrong that caused it.
