The disco era sucked canal water.

One of my wife's friends is married to an ex-disco guy. He looks just like he did in '76. Same haircut, same goofy tinted aviator glasses, shirt half unbuttoned/six gold chains. Platform shoes- I'm not kidding.

He peaked in the late 70's and he's not letting go.

Please tell me his name is Stu. :D

That was one cool cat, cruisin' the aisle in style.

It sucked WORSE than disco.

KC and the Sunshine band is still a decent show. :leaving:

Not quite....

Richard R. Finch, base-guitar player, producer and co-founder of KC and the Sunshine Band, ended up in jail after admitting to the police that he had sex with teenage boys.
Finch was arrested after a boy told the Licking County sheriff’s office in Newark, Ohio that Finch had sex with him.

, same goofy tinted aviator glasses.

Carreras??

Phuck Finch. KC replaced him.

Ok the year was 1986. I was 20. My clothes were stupid, the Michelob Light was cold, my RX7 was cool, and girls had big hair. If you stumbled into the Oasis on Alexis Road I would be found chasing skirt, and the only way was to dance. :o

Couldn't find the original... but this song reminds me of those days and how sucky the music was.

Most of the people who knock Disco never lived Disco!!!

Disco RULED and still RULES today.

Put YMCA on in any dance club and see what happens.

I was just on a cruise a couple weeks ago. I would say 1/2 the people on the cruise were College Spring Breakers. Whenever Disco was played these kids went crazy!!! The reaction to YMCA sent my heart a'flutter.

Here is proof that whenever people gather........Disco lives!!!!

No wonder I quickly moved to Metal. We were all lucky to get out of the 80s without becoming metros. Grunge saved a generation from gayness.

Wow. 80s music sucked WAYYYY worse than disco.

80's Hair Metal was just as bad. It was disco/pop played louder and faster with a much more relaxed dress code.

Zeppelin, Stones, Hendrix, Sabbath... Worked back then, still works today.

My house was a tale of two cities in the 70's. Upstairs my mom had Donna Summer and the Bee Gees rolling non-stop on the Techniques turntable. Downstairs I was spinning Pink Floyd, Robin Trower, Montrose, Zep, The Who, Cream, Rush, Aerosmith, Nugent, Deep Purple, BTO, Steve Miller, Allman Bros, etc.
