Unbelievable service from Xtreme Marine and Larry Goldman

I am very impressed with how the dragon rides and handles.

Let's just say...when I'm done with it, it won't look anything like it does now.

The Dragon does have a cool, & unique design

Aren't there 5 or so of them out there?

Which particular one of them did you buy?

I just want to thank Larry Goldman and his guys at Xtreme Marine. We just took delivery of our boat in time for the Miami Poker Run, (from a different dealer) about half way down we broke a prop shaft and lost the prop. The boat still ran 50 mph on one motor, so we were able to get to Islemerada. Larry stepped up and had his guys bring me a new lower unit, they helped change it out and then came back again the next morning to bring me props. When I asked Larry how much this was going to cost me, he replied.... Don't worry about it, just use it and bring it back by the shop when your done. We drove a long way to get there and our week would have been ruined if it wasn't for Larry!

Larry, you and your guys are ACES! Thank You!

Randy Kent

Randy, Don't really know what to say since I pilled this all off for you. Larry just told me what he needed and I obtain the truck to pull the trailer down to Holiday Isle in order pull the boat out of the water to change out the lower unit. I don't normaly do road side service like that @ 9pm but at least I was able to pull it off for Randy.BTW, did you ever find the prop and shaft?? Hope to sea you soon..
Warren :cheers2:

What's up Warren?

I think it was around 11 pm :ack2:

It was road side and a real nice ramp.:sifone:

What kind of speed did you see in the Dragon? Does it really turn as well as I have heard?

Being mostly a cat guy myself I was suprised how this boat acted much like a cat, it likes big water, pops right up and just skips across the tops. I have never had a boat that will plane out and run 50 mph on one moter. I did'nt turn it hard to see how cornering was, but I don't think there will be any problems there.

This was boat #2, it was Craig's personal boat before being sold. I purchased the boat as a Repo, It took about 6 months to get the deal put together, the bank wanted much more than I was willing to give. I wanted a Dragon because they are so rare. I wanted something that I wouldn't see everywhere I went, much like my cats in the past.

When the boat was repoed the drives where missing. The bank sent the boat to Lake X to have the drives added, they put 1.36's on it, so when I showed up the pick the boat up one day before the Poker Run, it had no props, and no steering, we didn't find that out until we went to splash it and found out someone put motor oil in the power steering pump and broke the shaft, lucky for me I brought tools just in case, Anthony and myself swamped pumps with the port motor. Donzi really helped us out and gave us a place to work on the boat and loaned us some props to use "one of which is now at the bottom of the ocean" We tried a set of 32's expecting that it had a 1.50 gear, it wouldn't go over 4000 rpm and only ran about 60 mph.

Next we put spacers on the drives and finally got it to run 89 mph but still is only pulling 4500 rpm. There is no dought that once I change the gears to 1.50 and prop it correctly it should run close to 100 mph.

I couldn't be more pleased with the boat, I love the windsheild! No wind, and you can talk to the guy next to you. I wasn't sure about it at first, but a windy ride seems to wear you out after a while, not with this one.

Larry goes out of his way for everyone. Half the poker runs we do I end up leaving him at the lunch stop so he can get someone else going. I remember one incident that he stayed back at Gilerts to help someone with a broken Cigarette. Told the owner to catch a ride with someone else and enjoy the day. Larry fixed the boat and brought it to Key West in the dead of night so the owner could have the boat for the weekend.
