Where to buy marine plywood in south FL?

TY- makes sense! Just to clarify- I wasn't implying you were cheap- just wanted to make sure what I was visualizing what really what was going on was all.

8' sections so with an 8'6" beam you would have to interlace them? You would think a marine company would have made some thing 9' by now since most boats are 8'6" (room for error)?

They make Okoume in 5' x 10' if you need it, but my beam is less than 7':driving:

Hey, I just thought of another good reason to have a narrow boat!!

The Home Depot stuff is OK. (it might have greeen edges) Dantzler Inc. supplies Southern and Home Depot. DO NOT use exterior ply. My transom is about 2"+ thick. I would make the transom as stiff and as thick as possible.
Once you have deflection water or moisture, (humidity) can get inbetween.
When you "laminate" the peaces, I would even use FG matts between the layers. BOW in Pompano sells "Boat yard" resin. Good stuff and it won't set up as fast as Poly. Have fun.. lol it's a sticky project.

I considered going 2", but have been told that it is overkill, I will save a few punds by going 1-1/2" and add the knees, every little bit helps when you have an underpwered boat. Boatyard resin huh? I may check into that, I was planning on getting the glass and resin locally also, and we have 3 BOW's over here.

Dixie Clamp & Scaffold has the ply. I talked to a guy there that's been doing a bunch of resto projects...he said a place called Glue Products, off Southern, has good prices on resin.

But yeah, BOW-Sample...check the clearance room. They've got all kinds of stuff in there.

I have Boat yard resin, 5 gallon pail $75.00. Boatyard resin is a non-spec resin though. GP-100 Ortho is a better resin $82.00 for 5 gallon pail. You'll need MEK also $12.00 quart. 1708 Biax @ $1.45LB and 3/4oz chop @ $1.19LB and 1.5oz chop @ $1.29LB. In Fort Lauderdale.
