Find a Lost Cell Phone

Any good ways to find a lost cell phone. My daughter is sure it's in the house, and of course she has the ringer turned off so calling it doesn't help.

you should still be able to hear it with the ringer off as long as vibrate is on. I lost a pager in the middle of an auto parts yard while scouring for some parts and found it by retracing my steps and calling it repeatedly. You'd be surprised how loud silent really is.

Easy..tell her she has to pay for the replacement,(full pop..not resign freebie) untill then she's phoneless.. Bet she finds it in no time.

Wait til about 3AM when all is calm and call it. Turn off all the lights- most flash while vibrating

We've tried listening for vibrate and can't find it so far. It is possible the cat hid it, has been known to move toys and stuff around. I'll have to try the lights flashing. So far she has spent 3+ hours hunting around the house so is definately desperate.

sometimes a cellphone will make a distortion noise near something with a speaker (small radio etc) maybe try doing that to get a an idea of the room it's in

I've tried the Ipod, only music player in the house, near my cell but it doesn't respond to it. I don't have a portable AM radio and can't think what else to try.

Log on to her account online and see who sent the last text message that was read and see if that jogs her memory where she was when she read it.

I logged on to the account (Verizon) but it only has messages/calls up through end of Dec, the end of the billing period.

We've checked her laundry too.

yep! exactly what i was thinking. try your alarm clock, mine is load and obnoxious when my iphone is beside it!

Often the ringer has a different alert and volume than the voice mail alert.
I have had my ringer off and had the voice mail alert still go off in a meeting, doh.

Call it and leave a message. See what happens.
