Dumb quote of the week.

From one of our favorite dictators:

Russia Today: Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez has once again accused the United States of playing God. But this time it's Haiti's disastrous earthquake that he thinks the U.S. was behind. Spanish newspaper ABC quotes Chavez as saying that the U.S. navy launched a weapon capable of inducing a powerful earthquake off the shore of Haiti. He adds that this time it was only a drill and the final target is ... destroying and taking over Iran.

Lunacy, I tell ya! Lunacy. :sifone: :iamwithstupid:

The Citgo gas stations are hurting here due to the fact it's getting out that Chavez owns Citgo. Even with lower prices.

The average American doesn't even vote. I can't fathom many are making that sort of political statement, especially if they had to pay a penny a gallon across the street.

I'd love to see the statistics on how many people are aware that CITGO is owned by Venezuela's government.

It is old news. The problem is, people are creatures of habit. They want to use a certain station for the convenience of not having to cut across traffic for the other one. It's been long said that if everyone stopped using CITGO, Chavez would be silenced. But Americans are dumb (news flash there)

Citgo is old news...when that broke citgo went on a major spending spree here...they were helping the poor with 'energy assitance" , donating to schools, and all sorts of other things to keep their reputation out of the tank.

Just a tidbit of info little know to most of the American population. The majority of the asphalt used on U.S. highways, streets, parking lots, and any other paved surface is refined from Venezuelan sour crude.

Why do we keep spending money with people who hate us?

Publicly (and politically) "they" hate us. But, privately "they" love us because we have all the money.

Think of countries like Venezuela as strippers and the USA is the customer. Young sexy strippers don't want to dance naked for old men, but they have to do it for the money. :D

I like the way you think...great analogy!
