28 saber weight

Anyone care to give a ball park figure of a 28 foot saber? Twin big blocks, bravos, and probably a 1994 or 1995. Also how much would a dual axle trailer for the boat weigh.

Im thinking of getting serious about one but need to make a decision on a proper tow vehicle.

Thanks!

Probably about the same as a 28 Apache. Assuming a full cabin and all the stuff you'd drag with you to the lake- fuel, gear, cooler, etc., I'd say 10K plus.

you would need a 3/4 ton at least. i had a 28 AT that i pulled with a 1/2 ton and it did not do the job well at all.

6200 # RINGS A BELL ???

I had a 3/4 ton chevy extended cab when i had mine and travelled quite a bit with them on Eagle trailers . Was a nice pkg.

28 Saber w/ twin BB bravo about 6300 lb. dry
w/ full fuel (130 gal.) and gear add 1500 lb. = 7800 lb.
add about 1500 lb. for trailer = 9300 lb.

Quality of the trailer makes a big difference for towing.
You can't go wrong with a 28 Saber.
