Top Speed

I have a customer's 36 outlaw sst with twin 496's HO's and i want to know what Top speed you guys are seeing

With HO's I would guess 72-74

I could be wrong but judging from what I have heard it would be high 60's to very low 70's. This is only based on hearsay though. The ones I rode in with HP500's would only run in the low and mid 70's but that was before they raised the X-dimension.The 36's were heavy and took a lot of HP to get them going but they sure rode nice.

The best ive seen is 67 mph......

You should be able to hit 70 with HOs in a 36. elevation? props? bottom paint? drive toe? The x was raised by Baja in 01-02, the factory went from 3 blades to 4 blades at that time. The 502 mpi was around then, but if it has been refit the drives may be buried.

That would sound about average. I don't know how much you have messed with it but there might be a few little things to do to squeeze a little more out of it.

Well the boats an 03 and the X is not buried probably 2inches below the hull.....Its running 4 blade bravos 24's.....so i guess i'm pretty much maxed out with the speed i'm getting....thanks guys...happy new year
