I got into this crazy bbq'ing stuff this year.........I'm opening up a bbq restaurant next year and we have a professional team. Call me crazy but it's fun and a great excuse to drink beer! We actually won our first event last Spring. Who's into it?

Love it. Been doing it for years. Ya gotta DIY around here. There's no place to buy it. I'm actually in Memphis right now- you can get great shoulder at every gas station. Got a fantastic pulled pork sandwich last night in some little town- from a guy in a trailer.

We designed and built our own smoker on my Sea Doo trailer.

We had/have a guy around here that worked out of an old Airstream, you know the silver sausage one:sifone: But people would line up for about 3 hours a day for the food. Whenever I was out that way during lunch time I always stopped by :driving: Now I have an office job so I have no idea if he still runs the trailer or not.

Nuthin' better than smokin' some butt. Smoked a turkey for Thanksgiving...pork steaks are also a big St louis thing in the summer. Yum!

I love smoking meat. I use a Kamado #9. It is a ceramic smoker made in mexico and weighs 800 pounds. I kook my pork butts at 205 degrees for around 20 hours.

I was just looking in to those Kamado's a month or so ago. They have a cult like following.

Guys is trailers know how to do every thing good that involves beer & grills!

Man am I hungry after seeing these masterpieces. Care to overnight me some thing some one?

I have one of all of them- Big Green Egg, the box smokers, etc. Can't beat the barrel with the smoke box on the side.


One use I found for the box smoker- I can do 3 dozen ears of grilled corn in it at once. Takes about a half hour. I put chips in the smoke box and all. The idea hit me last summer at my daughter's grad party. I wanted to do the corn but didn't want to do 10 ears at a time. Worked awesome.

That's my favorite show! I've cooked w/ Jack's Old South(Myron). I can cook 25 butts in my smoker.

Hell ya. I built a stone pit with an open grill on one side, a fire box at the bottom, the smoke house on top and a bread / pizza oven in between all under a cedar roof.

18 hr ribs are my fav.

I'll post a pic or two tomorrow. They are on the other puter.
