Kimbo vs. Alexander

Disappointing match. Not sure what Alexander had on his mind, but a skilled MMA fighter will own Kimbo.

Kimbo is an old man who came into his career late in life, he isn't going to have a long career....Ultimate fighting was a fad that when it first came out it was outrageous, people glued to TV watching it but now it is a fad from years past being overexposed by reality programs, multiple fights/locations/promoters.

Kimbo was good at what he did- roll up in a truck with dubs and beat someone in a backyard brawl. Mainstreaming him became boring IMHO

I thought the fight was relatively exciting when they actually exchanged. I couldn't believe that Alexander didn't engage. Seems like maybe he took that fight on short notice and was concerned that he wasn't really ready.

How often to you get to see a guy take a real suplex though?

It's really tough to grasp the difference between a big, strong guy and an exceptionally well-trained, naturally-talented, big, strong guy.

Dana had to be proud to see his TUF winner rubbing his beer belly after KO'ing his opponent.

The Penn/Sanchez fight this weekend should be a good one.

I thought the whole show was pretty good. I was extremely happy to see Marcus Big Baby Jones get his ass whooped by Mitrione; after his tantrum on the show last week.

And Alexander? Holy crap. I think he dizzied himself during the 90 seconds of circling Kimbo.

Big Country... absolutely hilarious. I think he'd woop a John Deere combine's ass; and then eat it.
A quote from Dana White I think earlier in the season "possibly the worst physique of any athlete ever."

Next season's TUF should be pretty interesting with Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz coaching. I DVR the episodes, watch the smack talking, and then the fights. I actually prefer the fights on TUF to the big circus matches on PPV; just two guys, trying to make a name for themselves, pounding on each other in a small gym.

Finally watched the rest of it last night. The fight that blew me away was Hamill vs Joh Jones. Jones DESTROYED Hamill and then got DQ'd. As much as I hated to see it, it was hard to argue against the DQ becuase the illegal strike was clearly the strike that toasted Hamill's biscuts.

I was hoping that Marcus Jones would turn out to be something special and really have "it". Good fight, but I wasn't in love with that result.
