Snow tonight???!!!! Really?? uhg

Joe everybody down south are just a bunch of sissies and to tell you the truth i wore shorts today here in mich temp all of thirty something .

Yep. When we moved to Florida for the third time in 1971, my dad swore he'd never live north of Clearwater again. He's from West Virginia. He said he saw snow one year on June 10th. True to his word, my parents moved in 1977......about ten blocks farther south. They still live there. :)

Tonite's forecast, DARK... With scattered light towards daybreak, The light will increase by the noon hour and may become quite bright at times during the afternoon.

The rearview mirror in my truck showed 36 this morning at 7:30.
High today was ~66.
Cold out here in the desert.
I actually miss the 110's.

Got a nice fire going tonight though.

It was 41 frickin degrees when I went out to feed the dogs. If it gets any colder, I'm moving to Florida.

We got a little snow up in Maine. Dollar we will have to get you and Stinson up to Maine one weekend to ride. Then you will know what winter is good for!!! Sleds are some times better then boats!! Mine are all tucked away waiting for the snow.

I beg to differ! My uncle who lived next door to us had three sleds when we lived in Oregon. Snow is like rain, only colder!

I play this game about moving every winter......one of these years I'm going to pull the trigger. Why do I live somewhere that I need to be indoors 6 months a year?

I've looked in to moving to SC every 3 months for 5 years now. No jobs or $ in my field.

DC area is costly to live in but they paid well because of it. Kind of a catch 22

The reason it costs so much to live near DC, is the government is one of the only expanding businesses.
Trish just called her friend in Md. She paid $13?,000 for a house several years ago, and now homes in her neighborhood are selling for $800 K. Her friend was a teacher, who went back to being tourguide at the Whitehouse, because it payed better.

If the cost of living to income ratio is the same....go for it

Numbers work- SC it takes about 25% less to live on than DC- but retirement and toys come in to play. Taking a 25% pay cut doesn't mean I get a 25% discount a new boat. Yea, I'll save X amount on housing or whatever but still have to make X to afford new toys.

Using that as an example- when I retire I'm hoping to say have $X stacked away. If I were in SC that number would be cut by 50% because I would be making 25% less and then then the compound interest and so on.

Easier to move some place cheaper than to move some place more expensive. If you were in SC and needed to rent a place in MD- 1st and last month would be say $5K. Now move from MD to SC and 1st and last month is $1600.

I wouldn't base my financial needs, based on a need for toys. I'd just live in a trailer and be happy.

Wanting toys is why my alarm goes off every morning and what I base about 90% of my financial needs upon.

I live well under my means- almost to the point of I could retire at 37- but the desire to have a new boat every 3-4 years or go on vacation monthly keeps my work boots well worn.

I love my life but never content

How are you going to be happy in a trailer witout Toys, boats, booze, and loose women?? Cuda..you cannot live by Jerry Springer alone... :D
