At what point should people have to buy two plane tickets?

when your fat azz is sitting on two seats, you should pay,,when those people sit down to eat, they don,t mind eating for 3 or 4 people, fat is going to kill our country,,i don,t want my tax money paying for some obeast slob going to the hospital because he cant breath,,or needs knees replaced because they can,t walk..the same thing for smokers if you CHOOSE to smoke all your life, don,t take tax money because you have lung cancer...how about alcoholics that go to the hospital with scerosis of the liver, and want a liver trans plant ,, these people kill me ,,,, eat like a sponge,,smoke like a chimney,,drink like a camel all their lives and when they get old go to the hospital crying I DON,T WANT TO DIE,,, bull sh(t give those organs to kids and a person who was afflicted by nature, not ,,,,,,, i,ll stop,,,, i can go off on this for ever?? to answer your question,, make them pay it their azz takes two seats,,,and thats all i got to say about that,!!:cuss:

WOW!!!... I hope your boat never flips and you need Coast Guard assistance to save you or your friend's or family's lives.

It sounds like you would stick to your guns and refuse help because you chose to go fast. A lot of people would miss you.

We pay for Coast Guard assistance with our tax dollars. George also pays extra when he races with his dues. Not to mention risking his investment every time he drives in a race.

The difference is he, in theory, pays for the "extra seat" by investing money in a boating hobby he has to pay extra for. So, his argument (and mine) is so should they.....

Really a simple choice for them to make.

Unfortunately, it all boils down to $$$. fly a non-US carrier, and start with the customer service. I will use a flight early this year on emirates, from Sana, Yeman to Dubai. besides the state of the art seat designed for comfort, my meal started out cold prawn salad, followed by lobster and filet. The flight attendants spoke around 11 languages amongst the crew, none had to walk down the isle sideways as to fit down it. and continueally checked to refill your drink. All this on a 2 hr flight. in the end you could say you get what you pay for, but this really isnt the case with american carriers.

Yep! Walmart nation but complain about customer service. We want things cheap but if they seller is only making "X" amount off of it they have to cut some place else to make up for it.

Love people in Walmart complaining about only 4 registers open as they pay $12 for a 100 pack of toilet paper. Go to Target- same thing is $15 but you are no more than 3rd in line or a new register opens (in my area at least).

Who is talking about 'racing' ? I'm talking about what we all like and choose to do........GO FAST in boats to EXCESS 'anytime' we are out. We choose to go fast and chit happens. Taxpayers pay to help us out just as taxpayers pay to help those people who choose to EAT, DRINK, SMOKE to EXCESS.

Taxpayers, us, pay to help us out how? Name one boat ramp, one government unit, one taxpayer based entity that is out there for the specific use of performance boaters?

And, we pay more for our insurance, boats, maintenance, storage, etc than a non-performance boater for the most part. All because we live a little farther out on the edge. And, my reference to racing, was that I was not insured by anything other than the race org while racing. All of my other coverages were moot other than my health insurance which I pay a large deductible for.

I believe the same should hold true for those who choose to live dangerously by what they eat and their life style. Just as in life insurance.

All I know is that after meeting George in St Claire, he's the type of guy that would be the first to lend a hand to a racer or a boater in distress... flaming scooter or not, the guys a class act. Heck any man who can put up with Jim's margarita mayhem on a regular basis should be nominated for sainthood... :cheers2:

Read what I wrote and not what you want to read.

I never said 'specific'. I never said 'performance boat'... I said Coast Guard (taxpayer based entity) helping if George was involved in a boat accident. NOT racing but going fast with friends or family.

I thought it was harsh that George would say he did not want his "TAX" dollars going to help 'fat arses, drunks and druggies'. Actually I do not know a tax based entity that caters to those 'specific' mentioned afflictions (eating , drinking, drugs...to excess) or as you seem to believe these are 'hobbies'.

Maybe you're talking about 'welfare', which is a whole different discussion.

I personally would rather see my tax dollars go to people with those afflictions rather than bailing out certain private buisnesses.....which, now that I think about it, might be a similar group except that they are millionaire ( fat arse, drunk druggies). Again....that is a whole different discussion.

This discussion started about 'when a person should pay for 2 seats'. No one mentioned 'TAX' dollars paying for seats on planes.

This started as a discussion about when a person should pay for 2 seats on a plane. I do not know where anyone stated ......that taxes were going to be used for that purpose. I'm 6'5'' and weigh 280lbs. I have a 40 inch waist so my aZZ does ,indeed, fit in a airline seat but I have a 58 inch chest which due to the fact that my shoulders extend more than average folks, cramps seating in airplanes. Being BIG is not a hobby for everyone.......for many it's a true LIFESTYLE that cannot be avoided.

I would not have a problem paying by the pound to fly.......but I would expect to be given leg room and shoulder room also. I don't think the airlines have figured out how this can be done so I'm sure they could use any imput they can get.

Mr Mosi i didn,t mean to get off on a rant, sorry but my first line did answer the question,It is a sore subject with me, because ,I own a Medical Ultra sound co.in three differant offices...we work on people who come in smelling like a cigarette, and when asked do they smoke ,,it,s ooo noo..meanwhile they have heart, lung ,and legs that go numb.....problems,,,demand more and more test,,,knowing their not going to pay anyway, because of wellfare,,,the same thing for people who drink,,want new livers so on so on,,again sorry for the rant..i understand people of size (pos) my father was 6.7 and weighed 280 but really wasn,t fat ,,,my issue is with the 5x5 guy who eats a dozen hamburgers because they were on sale. and has to walk around each leg and then can,t figure out why he don,t fit in any public transportation and complains you know the one who gets really mad because there arn,t any more free peanuts!! Please have a great day. George Jr.

2.4 million Americans died in the last statistical year. 60% from isues relative to poor health- heart disease, cancer, stroke, etc.

In contrast, 120,000 died in accidents of all types and 18,500 in homicides.

1.44 million- I'd say considering we have the best health care in the world by an amazingly wide margin that we have a significan health problem related to personal behavior.

No problem George. I believe I knew what you meant and my original response was more tongue in cheek because I knew it was an off topic rant.

Someone else decided to take it further ;)

they should put hard points on the wings and supply the fat people with special backpack harnesses to connect them to the hard points.

how about us larger folks get to beat the smaller folks and take both seats (usually where I openly chant "Please know Karate") ....makes me feel less guilty.:reddevil:

Jesus Bob, you expect us to believe that?? everyone knows that if they roll a can of beer down the isle you will chase it like a puppy... open seats..no problem..
