Texas was just lucky the they got a "home town call" on the clock....time was expired....great game for the Husker Defense but that's about it...reminds me of the old USA vs USSR basketball games in the Olympics...

I only caught the end.. Amy said it was a boring game over all.. Even painful to watch Huskers offense.
I thought the replay showed 1 second when the ball hit the ground.

Teabow seems like a pretty top notch dude. Hard to really argue with that.
All games yesterday where sweet: UC beating PITT, Ga Tech hanging on, Texas almost getting beat and the AL game was awesome. I would have never guessed that Fl would have came out that sluggish and over confident.

Instead of lining up & kicking a field goal with 9 seconds left, Texas QB Colt McCoy took a snap from center and then scrambled to elude pressure from Nebraska's defensive rush, throwing an incomplete pass out of bounds as time ran out. Coach Mack Brown demanded that one second be placed back on the clock so that Texas could have another shot at that field goal. The officials took a 'replay review' and placed one second back on the clock. Texas kicked the disputed field goal.

(1) The game ended on an incomplete pass thrown out of bounds. Incomplete passes out of the field of play are not reviewable. (Sect 3, Art 2, paras. a. & d.)
(2) Clock adjustments are made only when a ruling on the field is reversed. (Sect 3, Art 3, para. f.) There was no ruling on the field that was reversed except the ruling on the clock.
A loss by Texas would have meant that Alabama would be facing either Cincinatti or TCU in the BCS Bowl. :ack2:

a. Scoring plays, including a runner in possession of a live ball breaking the plane of a goal line.
b. A pass ruled complete, incomplete or intercepted at a side line, goal line or an end line.
that sure looked like an incomplete pass to the sideline, which is reviewable.

If it wasn't only about the money, they would have a playoff system.
