On the 22nd of November the Tony Kart Racing Team will once again take part in the prestigious US event, SKUSA SuperNationals.

The XIII edition of the race, will take place in front of the Hotel Rio in centre of Las Vegas. The track, situated within the city, is 1500 meters (1 mile) long and offers fast stretches giving many possibilities to overtake. The SKUSA SuperNational has become one of the main events in America the last years, attracting teams and drivers from Europe. The event has become the race where the karting schools of the two continents meet each other.

Tony Kart Racing Team renews with great satisfaction its attendance to the SuperNationals race, joining the forces of the US importer of Tony Kart. The Team will count on the competitiveness of the Tony Kart Racer EVR and Krypton KRX chassis powered with Vortex engines.

The Tony Kart Racing Team official line-up will be special this year thanks to the seven times World Champion Michael Schumacher, who will join the Tony Kart team at this event. With his famous and active presence at this international karting race, Michael proves his great passion for karting and gives once again his important contribution to the worldwide promotion of the sport.

In the Super Pro (KZ2) category Tony Kart Racing Team drivers will be next to Michael Schumacher the Italian Marco Ardigò (SuperNational 2007 winner and multiple world champion) and the Englishman Gary Catt. The English driver boasts several prestigious international titles, such as the victory of the Italian Open Master, the victory of the Margutti Trophy and of the Winter Cup. He has been also vice European and World Champion. In category KF2 the talented drivers Japanese Yu Kanamaru and Brasilian Guilherme Silva, both racing the European series, will join the team.

Besides the drivers coming from the Europe, Tony Kart will have very strong field of US drivers attending the race. Famous names like Alex Speed (KF2), Buddy Rice (Indy Car champion driving KF2), Gustavo Menezes (KF2 & TAG Sr), Cody Hodgson (KF2), Joel Miller (KF2), Jose Zanella (Super Pro), Pietro Fittipaldi (TAG jr) and Marc Zartarian (TAG Sr) are examples of Tony Kart drivers present that will make the Supernationals event highly competitive and will also be favorite drivers in their respective categories

I raced karts in the UK and USA for six years, nothing I have driven (except on dirt) compares to the thrill and action of kart racing, good times.

Raced and wrecked many a zip kart

Kart racing..I predict Mario will win it all....

Zips... Did you run 250s? I've always wanted to drive a superkart, but I've developed a little hang up about getting killed in a kart that's (on lap times) no faster than a formula ford around Willow Springs... Of course the rush of driving one is completely different than the FF.

I'm too big to be competitive in karts, but I still run an ICC powered Track Magic on the big tracks and a Rotax TM on the little tracks. I agree. Very big fun for the dollar. I'm suprised no other guys interested in this deal, but then maybe those dudes are all busy down at KW?

I never raced a 250 but I know Martin Hines and got to drive a few of his personal karts. Awesome is an understatement, FF's are a bore by comparison, not that they are by any means boring. I raced 100 direct drive, 135 and 150 open and unlimited, raced both IKF and WKA. I am tall at 6'3" and that always had me struggling to keep down to weight.

Got so obsessed with racing that it was hurting my business and sold every thing much to my employees delight.

I still race occasionally mostly on dirt and am looking to run a modified next year now that I have some more time.

Hines is a seriously fast guy. I think I saw one of his Andersons for sale about six months ago (brought over to run Barber last year). A lot of my buddies are still very into karting and now that we're all having kids, its more of the same at a smaller level...

I agree with you on the kart vs FF! IMCA modifieds look like a blast!

A lot of my former kart racers ended up racing dirt, at any level of dirt racing you get a lot of side by side action and that still gets the heart pounding.

Not that I am adverse to road course racing, just dont have so many contacts there as I used to.

They have a new class out at our local sprint kart track that involves running a stock chinese honda ripoff 4 cycle from harbour freight for about $110, called chonda's around here. They adjust the restrictor plate according to your weight and I have had a bunch of people after me to come and race one they claim that it is good fun. I'll have to go and see, I expect the cheating will be legendary:sifone:

Yup, we call 'em "Clones" out here... Looks like a good time. :sifone:

I´m in.. I´+ve tried Formula E 250´s ( single cylinder) but a Superkart is WAY faster than a FF... and how do I know...
Well at the time a 50+ former Hockey Player that nowadays races FIA GT´s ( Viper, Ford GT40 etc) used to race SuperKarts and In Melbourne coulda grabbed the 4th grid 1996 in F1....
Thenagain a B-Group Audi did the same too on an equal length gravelcourse...
And yes this Hockey player is around 6´2"....

Yes we are all "busy" down here ;)

Talking about Adrenaline rushes a asphalt late model outlaw would be cool to try...somehow I still love them circle trackers...

Yet when I was at Willow Springs in August, the NCK Super Kart guys were running lap time comparable to or slower than FF... I agree that the 250s are just freakin' animals and I can't explain why the 5 or 6 that were running were slow (1:27s come to mind) without talking sh*t on guys I don't know.

Mika, you need to find someone to let you drive a supermodifed! ISMA car with a aluminum big block and movable wings... All you bro!

How you think Mikey's going to do in Vegas?

The same old geezer I told above also has one of the Audi IMSA GTO´s that had 936hp out of 2.2 liter...our team maintained it back in the day overhere.

A Dirttracker on pavement you mean?
Why not get one on the pikes peak while we´re at it ??

not actually Late Models type ASA or Busch league would do it for me to get a paycheck...then go powerboating for the fun of it.
That would be my American dream....
