whats it worth..............

Once I measured it from transom to the front.. yep only 38'
So really only 38' is the bottom and 42'sh is the top.

I don't have any pics but there was one of those here that had been totaly restored and I meen stem to stern ( the guy owens a large body shop) he redid everything and it turned out beautfiul and he had a Eagle trailer built for it.
What a tank, would go through anything but never got better than 68mph out of it with some lightly built 502s.
He got sick of the fuel cost's and the slow speeds and tried for 2 years to sell it without much luck and in the end it went for mid 30s and I am sure he had almost triple that into it and it was beautiful.
I don't know what shape yours is in but that one was almost perfect and you see what it went for. Cut your losses and move on.

Yea, the are a tank from what I hear, there was I guy selling his with built blown motors and could only get in the eighties.
But you got to remember they have a gen-set,water heater, microwave, fridge, very thick masonite wood down in the cabin.
Even the head had wood over wood.
I bet I pulled 300 lbs out of the bathroom it self.
( I had to strip the cabin to bare glass as it was full of mold, as the owner before me left it covered for years with a hole in the cover to let the rain water in the cabin, but not getting dried out in the cabin.)
I know I will not even come close to that going back in.
this was built in the eighties and very heavy cabin componets.
But again I was never looking for speed and to be honest, I must have took 1500 lbs to the dump that I pulled off this thing and replaced it with about 500 lbs.
I really think once I am done she will shed about 1200-1500 lbs from when she was built.
I would shed more, but with the nicer upgrades the cost is more weight.
The arch itself has to weigh close to two hundred lbs. I do not plan on using it much. Plus the hatch has to weigh 350-400 lbs and have been told it can be remade and weigh less the 200lbs(it is sagging because it is cracked)
If getting it lighter helps fuel cost then great, if not then I will travel less.

I still am looking for numbers on parting it out though --- just in case.

In all honesty even parts aren't pulling in any numbers. I am parting out a boat now and I am selling off all the new big dollar stuff and the best I am seeing is about .60 cents on the dollar, and again that is the best. Average is about .30-.40 cents and that is if you really want to sell it. You get a lot of dreamers. I just sold a supercharger, I would get about 20 emails a day about it and of those most only would offer about half of what it was worth. It is a tough market to sell a boat complete or for parts. But if you can sell it complete and take a loss that way it is much easier and less frustrating. Good luck, I know how it feels.
