New Boat Purchase?

I like Vette, I have a Donzi Classic but mine was 22. However I still needed more room for momma and the boy! I used to be into inboards and all the water sports before I got into HP boating. I wanted my boy tp appreciate the hp stuff but also want him to do the water sort stuff so we started looking for inboards. I picked up a loaded 2004 Malibu Wakesetter back in late Jan 09 and kept 22 Donzi!

Very nice. happy kid(s) and wife = happy captain!

I sold the Minx earlier this year but wound up with a 22 classic just recently. I'll have it at least for a little while. I tell people that I'm fiberglass rich, which means I'm broke. :boxing_smiley:

Here is my 27' Fountain. I am so happy with this boat. I found it on ebay this year and had to have it. We drove 9 hours both ways to pick it up. It was well worth the drive. With just a little TLC it will be just the way we want it.

You can see in the pictures that i have already painted the trailer and that make a huge difference. I have added some LED lights inside as well as more speakers so we can hear the music when we are running.

Let me know what ya think...

A couple more.... The picture of the Truck and Boat is on its way home from me picking it up. That was a long drive. I had never towed anything that big before and i didnt know if the trailer would make it or not. the winch strap ended up breaking on the way home and i had to buy a new one.

I also bought a small center console this year, lucky for two reasons, one because my real boat was down for most of the season for various things :ack2: And two because I had a trailer to lend Craig :sifone: love my little center console.

Let's just hope that "Big Dirty" has a better year in 2010!!!:sifone::sifone::kiss:

Bought my 2002 Cigarette Mystique this past april, Came from Texas. Love the boat but want something larger, and faster!!

here is one more pic of me while the wife was driving. just proves that I need the T-Shirt so you don't have to see my fat gut again. :)

That mid-cabin design is priceless with kids. With the open bow the breeze blows through the cabin on hot days and gets the kids out of the sun. The 6.2's are perfect for that boat and sip fuel. The only time I get nervous about the open bow is going to the Bahamas since I can't aways predict the weather and a big wave over the bow is not good!

My Dad just bought a left over 08 21' Sail Fish CC this past thursday for his place in Florida. The sits on a aluminum trailer and has a 150 hp Yamaha OB. Said it rides much bigger than a 21'. He already has inside rack storage, I can't wait to get down and go for a ride maybe even do some fishing. I know he has been working on the dealer since June which was the last time they were at the place down there. They were there for 2 weeks and he pulled the trigger. I know my dad is really excited, he did not boat at all this summer on Lake Michigan, his cruiser is up for sale and didn't get wet this summer!

I just bought (but haven't received it yet) a 1980 27' Excalibur.
I sold my 22' Scarab to get into something bigger. I called Jeff for some Magnum advice and fell into this deal. Can't wait to get her in the water, and being here in the Houston area I will hopefully still be able to do that in November.

Being rigged up with a brand new 502 as we speak. Should be able to test-fire it tomorrow if all goes well.

That looks awsome!!!!!!! we need a little more info on that.
Where did you find it?

I bought my first boat after a few years of kicking props.:sifone:

Picked up this 28 Powerplay with a HP500 out of Texas. Bought it from a small dealer who had got it at auction after it was repoed. It's 1 of only 3 or so single 28 PP's.

It was CG doc'd, so no title. I bought it at the begining of summer and I'm still dickin with the CG and the bank to get the "right" paperwork because the stupid CG will only except their forms for everything through the chain. (bills of sale from bank to dealer, dealer to me, etc). It's been a nightmare.

Luckily, after basically learning the secratary of state's job and telling them exactly what to do, I was able to at least get it registered by just showing them an application for a transfer of documentation.:willy_nilly:

I traded my 90' 35 in at Shogren at the end of July for the 04' 42. 14 Hrs. towing each way. Thanks to Cosmic12 and my youngest son Kyle for taking the trip and making things smooth. It was time for a change although you would not believe me if I told you how much I could miss the 90', I knew that boat inside out. It will be awhile before I get there with this 42, but I will!!

I'll play...

I traded my '92 Wellcraft 26' Nova for a '99 38' Scarab AVS so I wouldn't get tossed around on LOTO anymore. I'd been kicking props for years and finally found "the one." With the economy in the tank and snow blowing in Green Bay (boat's home port) I thought I got a fair deal. It's got Merc 540 Bulldogs, extension boxes and shorepower A/C. I really enjoyed the boat this past summer and got lots of compliments... maybe I'm not the only guy who likes these old Scarabs! Now, if I just knew how to drive twins... :sifone:

That thing is BAD A$$ ! I looked at one when I was looking for my first boat (1985) . I'm kinda glad I didn't get it because I probably would have killed someone after putting a 700 HP engine in it or something, but I have always wanted one, very cool boat. Keep us posted on your progress and first thrash, er... I mean ride
