Warpath!

Chief,
My list of accident witnesses include;

1999 - a 35ft. Sonic - Trip/Stuff in the East River at 70 mph. Two fractured vertibrea on the driver, a concusion and broken tailbone on the other two occupants. We had to resue the guy with the concusion out of the water and the guy with the back was taken immediately to the hospital.

2004 - a 36' Apache - you know the deal... I wasn't involved in any of the rescue opps but Otis was.

2009 - a 41' Velocity Trip/Stuff in the ocean in rough water at 75 mph.. Driver was ejected from the boat, I rescued him from the water, he suffered two broken ribs. The boat had delamination and a broken transom and a blown engine. We were able to get the boat/owner home and to the hospital. The boat will be fixed.

OMG, 3 of them? Very scary stuff. I remember you talking about the Velocity this year.

We had 3. The first was the banner boat, #3 on the list. Second was an all white 41 that we never rigged. Last I remember the hull was sitting at Hillsboro Marine(?) in Deerfield. Not sure, but I think the feds took that one when all of my Dad's crap went down. 3rd was a pleasure 41. It was blue. I have a pic of it somewhere, I'll see if I can find it then maybe someone can tell me what became of it.

Was the all white 41' a race setup? Also, any ideas at all what it became?

Thanks Lucy!

A few weeks ago I took her for a ride and we drove thru the marina to look at the "speed boats", she likes to say that... ;)

I started pulling out of the parking lot and she starts crying; "daddy boat, daddy boat, ride daddy boat." When we got on the main road she was hysterically crying, "ride daddy boat"...

I tried telling her the boat was at home but she didn't understand....

So then we took a ride to the beach and looked at the waves for a little while... On the way home we had to drive past the marina... again, she starts crying; "ride daddy boat, ride daddy boat!"

It was heart breaking on many levels!!
